I did the bet on Corals.

Just never used Betfair before.

They are 11/4 now and i backed at 18's.

Take the spin imo Wink

Or back Madrid to lift the trophy if you don't want to.

Yeah Callum suggested backing Madrid, but I got confused & I thought it would have been netter laying A-Madrid.

I am going to let it spin, but just think with a bad result in the league could ultimately send their morale the wrong way Sad

Posted briefly about this one on the cycling thread. Prices have just gone up, so I thought I'd expand discussion now.

Adam Yates to win Stage six of the Tour of California.

Mountain finish should suit. He's 11/2 with Skype Bet but only 9/2 with the green bookie who hears you.

Would cycling fellows and fellowettes confirm whether either price is any good, please? Is it worth Fred playing at 9/2, as he's persona non grata for the bigger price? Assuming not worth it, obviously.

My cycling correspondent says:

"Yates has got a better kick. Wiggo (9/1) shouldn't have a hope. The final stretch is above 10%. However it all depends on what the teams do. If a break goes, it could be interesting. 11/2 seems relatively good"

Would wait to see what the TfTers say, but I'll personally have a dabble.

I see Next Door now offer 7/2. I think Yates has a great chance to win the stage today, but was hoping for a bit better than 9/2. Machado has to be favourite, and Craddock and Dennis are threatening dark horses. Good luck, but I'm leaving this one alone.

I like the look of our NBA portfolio, but was just thinking about the Finals MVP thing. San Antonio played Miami in last year's Finals and woulda won in 6 but for a ridic shot from Ray Allen keeping Miami in it (they then went on to win Game 7).

I'm pretty sure if that shot missed, or the Spurs win Game 7, the Finals MVP woulda been Danny Green. He was ridic last year, broke the record for most threes in an NBA Finals (his 27 beat the previous best of 22, which was Allen's coincidentally).

His stats from last year's Finals were:
Game 1: 4/9 threes 12 points
Game 2: 5/5 17 points top scorer
Game 3: 7/9 27 top scorer
Game 4: 3/5 10 points
Game 5: 6/10 24 points
Game 6: 1/5 3 points
Game 7: 1/6 5 points

I thought I'd take a look at his Finals MVP odds, expected 25/1, maybe 33/1....think he's a must bet at 100/1 with 888 or Uni...don't forget it's just about certain that if they make it, they'll face the same opposition and pose the same threat. Proper price rick, think looking at your other bets a throwaway fiver is in order.

Been trying to work out Fred's best result, any idea?

Northampton v Leicester Premiership semi final tonight

these are huge rivals, really dislike each other

the last game without a card, red or yellow, was in 2009

in the 11 games since there have been 19 cards

ref is JP Doyle 1.21 cards per game this season in the Premiership in 14 games http://rugby.statbunker.com/competitions/RefereeSinBins?comp_id=436

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/10834224/Northampton-Saints-v-Leicester-Tigers-Premiership-semi-final-Gloves-off-for-rugbys-biggest-grudge-match.html

"Both will openly tell you how much they hate the other club."

"this game will be brutal"

"How tempers have frayed in the past...

Punching
Leicester centre Manu Tuilagi reacted to a push from Chris Ashton in the 2011 play-off semi-final with a flurry of punches – two lefts and a right hook that cut Ashton’s left eye, though the Saints wing somehow stayed on his feet. “Had it occurred in the high street an offender would have been prosecuted in the criminal courts,” said RFU disciplinary officer Jeff Blackett. A five-week ban followed.

Hair-pulling
Chris Ashton clashed again with the Tuilagi family in the 2011 Aviva Premiership encounter at Welford Road, when he ‘tackled’ Manu’s older brother Alesana by appearing to drag him off the pitch by his hair, sparking a touchline brawl that almost spilled over the advertising hoardings into the crowd. Tuilagi and Northampton’s Tom Wood were shown red cards; Ashton was banned for four weeks.

Swearing
Rarely have two words cost so much. Dylan Hartley’s moment of madness in calling referee Wayne Barnes “a f------ cheat” during last year’s Premiership final earned a red card, ended Saints’ hopes of victory, saw him banned for 11 weeks and, worst of all, meant he was out of the Lions tour Australia. Hartley said he was swearing at Tigers’ Tom Youngs.

Breaking bones
Northampton flanker Calum Clark was banned indefinitely by his club and then for a massive 32 weeks by the RFU for breaking the elbow of Tigers hooker Rob Hawkins by bending it backwards in a ruck during the 2012 LV Cup final. Leicester coach Richard Cockerill described it “as bad as I have seen on a rugby field”. Hawkins was forced to have surgery. "

and this is a semi-final, stakes are high...

http://www.oddschecker.com/rugby-union/aviva-premiership/northampton-v-leicester/total-cards

13/8 ladbrokes two or more cards tonight red or yellow is an interesting price. 5/2 william hill exactly two is also good, but knowing my luck there would be three....

if you see it, 13/8 lads £30 2+ cards

We do have Unibet, but have never used it, that I recall.

It was unfunded, so I deposited £10.

They were prepared to give us £0.73.

Decided to swerve it.

Squeaky clean account, restricted to £0.73.

Eso Kral could prolly get £200 on.

I think if you want to do that you can bet on paddy power and it would cover anyone who isnt listed:
http://www.paddypower.com/bet/basketball/us-basketball/nba-outright?ev_oc_grp_ids=462066

this way you can get david west, should pacers make the finals and win somehow, reggie jackson, ginobili and green.

I opened an account like that a year or so back to bet on golf 1st round leader in The Open or similar and deposited a tenner, it might have been youwin.

They would only lay me £1 and when I tried to withdraw the balance it was £10 minimum withdrawal.

This is a great spot.  This 100/1 any other.  For Manu to not be listed as a player in that betting list is comical.  Not a huge fan of Green (he just run like god last year in those finals) even at 100/1 unless Parker is out injured (he is currently day to day with a dodgy hamstring) however to be able to back Green/Manu coupled at 100/1 with all the other million shots is great business.  We should def have a score on that at 100/1.  I wouldn't want to lay Manu at 50/1 alone never mind 100/1.

Wow, welcome aboard Mr Eddy.

Tried to get on, but PP would not allow us to bet sensibly, they even rejected my attempted £1 bet.
