Tighty, are all the top tryscorer bets dead now?
Sorry if I've missed it, but I've got a few tryscorer bets (including one for Tikay) still listed on my 'other sports' sheet.
Yes, Nalaga was 2nd to Ashton when Saracens walloped Clermont in the semis, so can't improve, though Ashton had almost certainly won it anyway
the Toulouse lads lost in the quarters
That was who I had backed for Tikay, so the slate can't be wiped...
Now you have told me, I remember you posting now, sorry.
How big is the slate, Mark, & is it best if I square you up now?
I was going to leave it until Vegas, in case I backed anything for you before you left, and then we could square up out there.
Don't worry, it's only 4 figures
Just got the PM, thanks.
I can settle up now, by Bank TX, or with cash, in Vegas.
Up to you.
I settled my slate with sonour yesterday, or most of it, as we had one little query which we'll sort today.

The Gatewood race only has 4 runners so please nobody else back that one.
Bugger (official), my bad, I thought there were 6 runners.
It is going to be a bog there, hence a lot of withdrawals. Bet isn't going to be terrible, but the reason for backing it has gone.

It will probably be the only 'cash' I have this summer, so Vegas is good for me

Morning Mr T.
The last ever Heineken cup takes place today. Tighty has tipped Saracens on Betpal and I agree that they are the value bet in what should be a very close game.
I have looked at a couple of markets for a decent bet. First off I had to mention our favourite bet- the drop goal. Paddy Power have it priced at "no" 4/5 and yes "10/11". How stingy is that?
As it is Johhny Wilkinson's last match I looked at the man of the match market. He is priced at 5/2 and I believe that there is value in that as if Toulon win then as long as he finishes the game they will give him the award. I am still furious several months after BOD's last game, when he was given the award. I could only come up with 4 Irish players who did less in the match than he did. So anyone who thinks Toulon will win should back Johnny instead of Toulon.
As we think Saracens are the bet we should also look to them for the MOTM award. A tight game with few points means back row and the kicker are the candidates so I suggest we split our stake.
Suggest £5 Farrell @ 10-1
Burger £5 @ 16-1 both with Paddy Power.

Morning hector, & thanks.
I'm afraid Fred can't get on either of those two, I was offered a Max of £2.63 on Farrell, & £1.61 on Burger. Think we agreed a £5 Minimum stake for Fred.
I'm assuming you are NOT suggesting we back Wilkinson. I would have assumed he was a shoe-in, whether Toulon win or lose?

Well the BOD MOTM was chosen by the BBC and I am hoping that SKY will do it on merit and not sentimentallaity. Maybe just do Tighty's bet on Saracens at 13/10 or whatever it is. Maybe some kind soul will do the others for you.

Lol fair play for posting them. Thinly veiled "Ladbrokes will lay me a 50p bet brag" tho...
Hope Perez has the grand prix of his life.
As a massive Force India fan, I agree!
(Yes, I do work for Williams and support Force India haha) :-)
Didn't you used to work for Force India? Can't be betting on Perez with Tal's money. Can't see why he got such a good drive last year and seems 2nd rate to me. People keep slipping in recs for him whenever my back is turned though.
What makes you think I used to work for Force India? I only graduated from university last year and Williams is my first engineering job.
I'll post an extract from my website about Perez which may explain why he is quick and talented, but why he had a terrible 2013 season:
"Sergio Perez will become Force India's first ever non-European driver in 2014. The Mexican driver, affectionately referred to as "Checo" (the tradition for all Mexican's named Sergio), has a lot of pace as demonstrated by three podiums for Sauber in 2012. In 2013 though, I think he made a big mistake. He signed for McLaren which is great, a massive opportunity! However he did an interview before that season began saying that now he's at a "top team" he needs to be more aggressive in the car. My question is, why? He did a great job in 2012, why change your attitude in 2013? This aggressiveness is exactly what cost him in 2013 - he had a few incidents with his team mate (Button), he lost his edge with tyre conservation and he seemed to be simply trying too hard; ultimately finishing 29 points behind Button in the championship. Now he has left McLaren, I hope he'll go back to his more relaxed attitude that he had at Sauber. Our team principal, Vijay Mallya, appears to be developing a reputation for developing young talent (di Resta, Hulkenberg, Calado) and now he will work his magic with Sergio too."
Just assumed tyou must have worked there from the auto india sports website on your site.
I posted something up here at the start of last season on Perez after someone tipped him. The jist was that pretty much all the top drivers seem to dominate in whichever formula they go through on the way up. Perez seems to have a lot of indifferent seasons on the way up. It just seems unlikely he kept just getting bad cars.
Oh, I see - no no, just a fan at this stage ;-)
I wouldn't say that all top drivers seem to dominate in lower formula. A few times we have seen drivers look less than impressive in lower formula, but then they get to F1 and suddenly feel at home and perform incredibly well. Obviously every driver has their own unique style and finesse, just like every car does too. Sometimes, combinations just work - and sometimes they don't

anyone else think Derby are a lay at 2.3ish in the 90 min market today in the play off game? Don't really understand why there is such a huge gap between the teams?
