Right, found a few value spots for the race - is always difficult to do at Monaco though given that it is so difficult to overtake.

Points Finish - Daniil Kyvat @ 11/10 with StanJames or EVS with a host of other bookies including William Hill.
Double Points Finish - Force India @ 17/10 with Bwin.

and the Hamilton bet that Tikay posted earlier: 2/1 to win on the betfair exchange I believe it was.

Thanks Peter.

What happens now is that we await feedback, & "warmth", & if we get it, we have a bet, & if we don't, we won't. Regular readers do, of course, make their own minds up, & bet or not as they feel fit.

Whatever bets you have today, good luck.

Alright Smiley

The first two bets really depend on if Kyvat & the Force India's can keep it out of the barriers - if they can, they should happen. As for the Hamilton bet, it is down to who gets the best start really.

Thanks Tikay!

Hey Peter,

Why, in your view, are McLaren so bad? They have the Merc power unit, they have a large budget, they have a pedigree. What's going wrong?

Hey Peter,

Worms, everywhere.

They should be one of the top teams, without doubt. It seems like they are not allocating resources properly when it comes to development - they're not gaining on other teams anywhere near as much as they should; and that's not just this season but consistently over the last five seasons or so. Maybe they also have a lack of expertise within the team? I mean, I really can't think of any other reasons why they could be so poor over the last few seasons in comparison to where they should be.

McLaren who are a team who constantly refer back to heritage, understandably so given their rich history - but perhaps they need to try focussing on the future at little more! It does seem like they rest on their laurels occasionally. Let's see what Eric Boullier can do for the team though, he is still fairly new to McLaren, maybe he will inject some sort of success into the team by the end of the season.

Been a fun weekend for Kimi Raikkonen. Never one for emotions. He's had a brush with disaster:

(Seriously, did he really just walk off and not thank the Red Bull engineer? That's what the engineer said yesterday, anyway)

He's also had trouble getting in:

Steward number one says, "It's for drivers only", before a second one recognises it's former World Champion Kimi on his scooter.

How would Mr Mardy have reacted to not being recognised?

... and he missed the drivers parade due to "indigestion" - it's not that he couldn't be bothered or anything, he had "indigestion"  Roll Eyes Tongue

May I ask for some advice please.

Yesterday I placed a bet at Betfred. They offered an enhanced double on War Horse and Kingman at 2/1

War Horse was in the earlier race.

War Horse was a non runner.

I expected that the whole stake would go on Kingman at SP

Kingman won.

Betfred only want to return my stake.

Seems like a straightforward error on their part, unless there was something in the Ts & Cs. Always read the label.

St Devote at Monaco must be the most exciting start to any F1 GP, anywhere, will they won't they is awesome.

Once the race settles down I generally nod off, but that start, and first corner, is one of the great sporting spectacles.

Vettel looks to be out of it, too.

I meant to put this up before the Heiniken Cup match yesterday. Peter O' Toole and Richard Harris before the Munster Saracens final of 2000.

Last minute decision to go to Uttox races with some mates this afternoon (we only live 15 mins away) any selections for races 3-7 would be greatly appreciated.
