Really was a majestic chip in that situation. He had every right to go ten feet short or past the hole for a tough putt, but has a gimme instead.

Five more decent shots and you'll be drinking claret this evening

The Open, Portfolio Review

We invested just under £500 for the 2014 Open and the return was £798

The overall profit for the tournament was £301-00

There were £142 of losses going into today, and a profit of £443 today

winners

£15 e/w on McIlroy at 22-1 produced a profit of £412

Fowler e/w at 40-1 produced a profit of £90

Furyk e/w at 60-1 produced a profit of £140

Lowry e/w top GB and Ire at 25-1 produced a profit of £58

Overall we had 1st, tied 2nd, 4th and two tied for 9th (Lowry and GMac)

losers

Dustin Johnson threw a top 8 finish away with +3 for the last two holes -£20

McDowell went round in 67 to finish tied 9th -£30

Lowry finished 2nd to McIlroy top Ire -£15

Gallacher 68 to finish -8 -£10

Cabrera 67 today to finish -6 -£20

Bjorn a 67 today to finish -4 -£20

J Walker a 73 today to finish -4 -£25

Dufner a 71 today to finish +1 -£20

Snedeker a 74 today to finish +3 -£20

Matsuyama a 71 today to finish -1 -£20

Kuchar a 72 today to finish +2 -£20

Kaymer a 79 today to finish +8 -£30

Great effort by all in team golf this week! Vwp all. That was a proper relatively low variance portfolio to grind out a profit and we can feel unlucky not to have hoovered another place at least.
