BDO darts - I like Scott Mitchell at 10/1 EW. He played well last night coming through a sudden death decider against O'Shea averaging 92.5. As usual this tournament won't take much winning and an average in the low 90s could well be enough to get the job done. With Martin Phillips going out in his quarter the draw has really opened up for him and he should have a nice run through to the semis. Recommend £10 EW

thud thud thud..TWENTY SIX

"Fred you require 40....."

pause

thud thud thud

"Six scored"

I am amazed this is televised.

does it get viewers? what do the rights cost?

anyway, in the sedate darts

BDO World Championship - 2015 Scott Mitchell (EW) (Tournament Winner - Outright) Odds: 10/1 Stake: 20.00 Possible Return:  170.00 1/2 1,2

Don't mock, you have to watch it now, to keep us updated in the Daily Reports.

The BDO have a Ladies Darts Championships, too, can we bet on that?

I have to disagree , the last photo definitely shows her giving it a good go.

In fact , she seems well pleased with her effort , mind , she was only 45 years old when

she stepped on the oche for that match.

Housekeeping

http://www.pdc.tv/news/article/1vtkt2ynt0x2t131gjcwmwitsi/title/the-final-countdown

593 lots of 180s, which is more than hoped. Bet is effectively dead now, but, as I said from the outset, this is far in excess of previous years and could easily go 25 over last year's total.

Lesson to be learned for sure about considering waiting until the first round before backing the under, while the line gets inflated. I do think we've been unlucky, but I know plenty disagree.

Next, as they say, case.

Anyone like the Bengals tonight? Colts look unbackable to me (punting on Luck having a stormer), Bengals have a fearsome defensive unit and can attack a poor offensive line, knowing that Luck will be calling a lot of pass plays early, with the team not having a run game. Bengals have the run game and, whilst A J Green isn't there and that's a loss, 13/8 to win (BMU) outright appeals to me.

Momentum is not to be underestimated and I think that's with the road team.

tikay is on Jeremy Hill first TD ladbrokes 9/1 and over 87 yards at 10/11. haven't had the time to write them up properly but the basic thoughts were

Cincy have to run it, Green is out, Gresham is out and keep Luck off the field and try to not put it in Dalton's hands to win it. run it run it run it and control the clock

Hill over 220 rushes this season has over 5 yards a yarry. 80-90 yards should be covered if he rushes 20 times. Would be staggered if he doesn't get it 25-30 times

The Indy run defense is poor

Indy have no running game themselves, and Cincy have good pass defense. Its only a lack of trust in Dalton that stops me wanting the Bengals with the points or money line

Really not sure about this game.  Gresham is also out for the Bengals.  Are we really going to rely on Andy Dalton to get the win?   Think the Bengals could be 'one and done' again.

I don't see it as Luck v Dalton but:

Luck against the Bengals secondary
           V
Dalton against the Colts secondary

Throw in the running games (big favour to Cincy) and the pass rush (both relatively poor but must be Cincy again) and I think this is marginally Bengals. 3.5 handicap is a point generous IMO, with 61% of the Vegas money having been wagered on Indy (per oddsshark: http://www.oddsshark.com/nfl/cincinnati-indianapolis-odds-january-4-2015 )

I say a point generous in the sense that if 3 points is the general home team edge, at a neutral venue, I'd make the Bengals marginal favourite.

Fred has his position anyway.

Edit: sorry, newportlad. That was in response to you, but quoted the wrong post.

I'm a big Bengals fan and the key for me are the performances of Bernard and Hewitt/Brock on offense setting up screens check downs and on defense Dunlap and Gilberry getting pressure.....

This is the type of game it's worth having a nibble on Dalton scoring a touchdown pulling everyone right and running left or on a trick play.

I've actually backed Luck anytime for a bit of interest Cheesy

Dalton 11/2 best price BMU anytime FWIW.

No baring on your bet, if Bengals are wrong in the betting due the teams respective strengths, we should definitely back them.
