Picking up the pass Int flag there was disgusting. Was clear as day the right call.

Makes a mockery of having these mixed officiating crews if they cannot get that call right between them. It was one of the worst reversals I've ever seen.

A sickener for the Lions, for sure.

Could the BBC have found a worse set of commentators for the game today?

Shearer is dry at the best of times, but he's sitting next to his nephew, who's come with him for work experience (who didn't have a shirt so they had to get an outfit to fit him as best as they could from a PDSA charity shop round the corner). Then we have the two snooker commentators in the gantry, whispering the obvious (including "Hull are still in this while it's still 1-0"). They couldn't even add some crowd noise from another stadium to make it sound like at least someone's enjoying it.

This is Tildsendesque. Has Auntie forgotten how to do live football?

Dunno if it was the fact they thought they were certainties and couldn't get up for it but Stamford Bridge was so quiet from a home fans perspective yesterday - is it always like that?

Have to agree with this. Clearly pass interference, as the defender had his back to the ball. Flags were thrown, and they even announced it was pass interference before they decided to reverse it.  Lions were driving downfield as well.

I thought it was inexplicable at the time

this is what the ref said afterwards

Pettigrew was also in the face mask of Hitchens, so there was a case for off-setting, but this was not called either

i thought the refs across all four wild card games were awful all weekend, but particularly in sunday's two games. there were 7 or 8 calls in the dallas game that were plain wrong i thought, against both sides

not too much hand wringing about this result though please

caldwell bottled it not going for it on 4th and 1 in dallas territory when the flag was picked up (whereas garrett didn't soon after on 4th and 6 which was a huge call)

There was six minutes left when the refs blundered (in the opinion of everyone) and detroit were then playing not to lose, dialled back the pressure and the blitzes which had been working so well and paid for it in the end
