sad to see Arsenal go out and us pretty much left with no teams left in CL, but how frustrating was it to see them just pass the ball around in the last minutes without getting it into the box

Standard. Sad

There really are some miserable old gits about.

I think I last saw Mertasacker contribute in a game back in October. Sad Sad Sad

Both Berdych and Simon had comfortable straight sets wins this evening and are through to the last 16. It would shock many people if Nadal loses to Young tonight but not so much me.

Anyone who took the 1/12 Portland on the nba division the above news is good for the bet with OKC's third best player ruled out for the rest of the regular season alongside their best player indefinitely.  Interesting watching the blue appear on oddschecker today might be a guide as to which firms actually read the thread.  Spreadex and betfair sportsbook were ducking portland anyway today at 1/20 and 1/16 respectively yet they still have seen reason to move today with spreadex very keen to be top OKC even further than they were already this morning.  Neither team plays until Weds night.

What an interesting setting for a Football Stadium - Monaco's gaff.

Been to this gaff. Was knocked out of the EPT Grand final and went to see Monaco v Lille with John Shipley.

3/4 empty and absolutely zero atmosphere even though Monaco were in a relegation battle that year.

Only singing and chanting was from the ~500 Lille supporters at the game.

Imagine the home fans will have all been plotted up in the boxes, walloping caviar & lobster sarnies...

I might have missed them, but saw no executive boxes at the stadium.

Were the tickets expensive, in comparison to ours?

I think they were a little bit cheaper than here from what I can remember about 25 Euros each (this was 5 or 6 years ago).

I know merchandise was alot cheaper. I bought Jake a Monaco shirt for about 20 Euros.

Budget today. Time to get the buzzword bingo card out. This is the Right Honourable's final budget speech before the election. A smattering of the boxes he's ticked, a sprinkling of good cheer, a soupçon of what might come and good old fashioned dollop of the modern day, meaningless anti-rhetoric the politicians love. Eyes down, look in.

Whilst I like HARD WORKING FAMILIES at even money with Ladbrokes (he's likely to play a few of his greatest hits, after all) and FINISH THE JOB at 7/4 with the same bookie for a bit of subliminal election messaging, the one I really like is HS2 at 3/1 with Hills.

Osborne is widely believed to announce HS3 today, so there seems a logical reason to mention the success of the previous development in order to sell the next. Obviously, we need the exact phrase to win.

I've been through the transcripts of the last few budgets and Autumn statements and the odds are fairly reflective of those. I think the other factors - particularly the Greatest Hits angle - offer us a little value.

Would recommend £25 on HS2 and whatever amount close to that you can get with the others (it's Ladbrokes, so I'm assuming a tenner would be an achievement). Would it let you do a £10 double on the Ladbrokes pair?

HS2 now backed into 2/1 haha. tried doubles on hills, not allowed. like the look of "hard working families" at evens at a few places, will stick to his core market with that one

Seems too obvious but has there ever been a budget where beer wasn't said? I know it is 1/10 but just before an election surely he freezes beer duty and mentions it as a sweetener for the working man? Hills have gone 1/20 from 1/10. Just find it hard to see how beer isn't mentioned alongside the usual other duties late in the speech.

Smaller bet, Tighty: £15-20

Rumours abound that there will be a significant tax relief announcement, spurred on by the OBR's surprisingly positive forecast yesterday. Hard-working families might be worth a press, on the assumption that the income tax threshold is the most likely. £20-25 on that if we can, please.

The South African spinners took seven wickets including a hat-trick, really the first game of the tournament that spin has done damage

Amla only scored 16 in the small chase, and Morkel only took one wicket

ongoing positions

Simon and Berdych both through to the last 16 of Indian Wells, winning yesterday

Simon now plays Nadal, Berdych now plays Rosol

football.

Watford won at Wigan to go top of the Championship with 8 games to go. we have 8-1 on promotion

Deeney scored both goals to go to 19 for the season, 4 behind Murphy and two clear of third

just a quick copy and paste of the Deeney bets, as they are corkers

Championship goalscorer   Deeney   50/1   20   £10 e/w 1/4 1,2,3,4
Championship goalscorer   Deeney   40/1   20   £10 e/w 1/4 1,2,3,4

Deeney has now scored in the last six games, seven goals

Bamford scored at Derby to go two clear of Leadbitter in the Middlesborough top scorer bet, 14 against 12 goals

in league one Peterborough lost 2-0 at Preston, but Swindon came from behind to beat Dncaster away, so Peterborough stay three points ahead of Dncaster in the £220 at 10/11 match bet

in league two Newport returned to a bit of form beating Luton 1-0 and are now only out of the play-offs on goal difference. we have a 7-1 promotion bet

Guernsey went to South Park last night

one of their problems all season has been midweek form, probably related to away game travel...and they went and won 7-1 last night. Ross Allen, missing for much of the season and who i remember being mentioned in the original tip, scored a hat-trick to make it six in two games

in the scottish championship hearts won 3-1 at Raith. they are 20 points clear at the top of the table with i think 8 games to go....£50 e/w at 7/2 is going to be a nice win in the next fortnight

in the NBA last night, one winner,. the LA Clippers against Charlotte and one loser, the Spurs lost to the Knicks
