Lovejoy (Cambridge) has positively destroyed Quinn (Oxford).

Gwan the Tabs!!
About time we won something!
A large number of ancient history questions probably helped, given Lovejoy is a classicist, but we won't complain about such trivialities.

Sippy Lovejoy and his team pretty incred.
I'm thinking of turning pro at Uni Chal type-offs. Bum-hunting ftw.

Take it you were also supporting the East Angular team?

I'm no expert, but Sporting Bets price on UKIP seems way out of line compared to everyone else .. worth a bet?
http://www.oddschecker.com/politics/british-politics/next-uk-general-election/most-seats
thats 500-1 to win the most seats in a gerneral election Peter
they will win 1-4. conservative/labour will win 260-300 each
should be 5 million to 1
1-4? Really? I think they're going to get way more than that (sadly!). But yes, perhaps they're not going to win - but why is the price so much different to the other bookies? Any ideas?
UKIP will win Clacton
might win S Thanet/Farage
will lose Reckless in Rochester
won't win boston, grimsby etc
poll ratings slipping into single figures
racing post recommended 1 seat at 5-1 on monday
i am on 2 at 9/2
current prices will offer you markets around an over/under of 4.5 seats
http://www.oddschecker.com/politics/british-politics/next-uk-general-election/total-seats-ukip
on the exchange under 5.5 seats is 1.3
so, perhaps they aren't going to win, no.
Agreed - still don't know what drives one bookie to have 250/1 and another to have 500/1 though.

Back in the days of Bamber, the winning team of the series would play a match against a team of the Fellows/Academic staff.
Here's the 1974 Trinity, Cambridge team and their Fellows:

(L-R):Prof Gallagher, Sir James Lighthill, Dr Bradfield, Mr JA Weir, Christopher Vane, Bamber Gascoigne, Frederick 'Wynn' Jolley, Simon Schaffer, and Paul Hopkins.
Tony Weir taught me Roman Law in my first year.
I wish they still did that in this show. Would be fun.

They just want to get people to bet on it. It can´t happen, so the price isn´t influenced by the likelihood of it happening. 250-1 or 5 million to 1 it makes no difference. The only issue is whether they can tempt anybody to give them some money.

I suspect he just borrowed a book from the Blonde Library "Tal's How to Spot Value".

Now now. You'll have the police in again
Over on Sky Atlantic, I see the new Top Gear Presenter is doing a show about the future of two ageing but delinquent dragons...
