Did anyone else get an email saying that they were members of Coral "Champions Club"?  Does "champion" in this context mean extremely proficient in ice-creamery?

I get those e-mails, but I can't get a bet on with them.

I think one of Tal's mates has a hoof in a nag they own (might have been shipped to Tesco by now)

Ha!

No email for me. I'll check with the owner of the eyelash, but think it'll be a no there, too.

Thought he owned a piece of a horse that ran as part of their 'Champions Club'.

Still, it wouldn't be the first time I didn't have a clue what I was talking about Smiley

Owners' Group.

That champions' club sounds like it's some sort of seven star noir card membership scheme with Carly and Farley.

Not for me, Clive.

I got one a few months ago, looked into it, they have a few horses that run under the club name, when they are running u can apply to be there,  if u get selected then u become the owner for the day along with a few others and get 10% of whatever the horse wins on the day, as well as having a nice day out. First time I replied to the email for when the horse was running I got tickets. Unfortunately ended up I couldn't go. Horse came 2nd.

Stage 5 yesterday in the Giro, another interesting one with the Astana team looking very strong. Contador attacked early and only Porte and Aru could respond. Contador now leads overall, with Uran losing some more time on his rivals. Todays stage is relatively flat so will likely be a bunch sprint finish and be a quiet day for the main G.C riders. small chance of a breakaway succeeding as Contador said he will try and give up the leaders jersey to someone who isn't an overall risk, so his team don't have to defend it for the rest of the race (cycling logic, not quite as baffling as #strausslogic but takes some getting used to!)

our man is still talking up his chances, we could do with him using these few flat days to recover, find some form, then it'll be down to the ITT on stage 14 to see if he can get back in the mix

its a big day in the IPL today. Rajasthan play Mumbai in their last group stage game. Its looking like win or out as the top six in the table, four through, are very close. After a great start winning their first five games Rajasthan have only won 1 of their last 8 with two rained off.

Incred each-way stips in a few places for the Dante, assuming all eight stand their ground.

The 4-1 Golden Horn and Elm Park are both pretty close to win prices on the machine, and the place part for each is a deal shorter.

I'd be inclined to take a small red on the win parts and lay back half the place, if able to get a decent amount on. Very competitive race this and easy to see three of the big four filling all three places.

I have put a post on the mathematics with betting thread which shows why the 3.45 at York is such a good betting race.

Something like Abseil in the 3.45 is hence  a good bet in that race, though there are many others.  For instance Gabrial and Off Art are also good.

Suggest £10 each way on Abseil (14/1) and Gabrial (20/1).

Nice swerve.  By contrast, I get to keep my beteveryday account a bit longer.
