Bojan at Stoke should hopefully be fit for the start of the season and from what form he showed last season, looks a good outside e/w bet. Mark Hughes rates him highly and will give him a good run in the side. Can I recommend 50p e/w and get my 1st tip through on TFT?.......

I had already done the Rooney bet, as I had read the same kind of stuff elsewhere. That price will shorten before the season starts, so 16/1 is good.

I was just talking to a couple of stoke fans about pricing up Stoke's top scorer this year.  Think it is a really tough heat to price up with Adam finding some form last year, Walters and Crouch still lurking, Bojan back etc etc.  I really don't know who i would make fav.

Cisse might struggle for minutes. Remy is a crock, don't forget he was signing for Pool last year until he failed a medical.
Bojan I do like, particularly at the price. He was really starting to show some form before he got that injury and there is no way he'd be this price now if he hadn't gotten injured.

As for the Rooney bet, I really do think he should be half that price, 8/1 or thereabouts, if not even lower.
The top 2 in the market both have injury concerns. There is no way Aguero plays a full season without an injury somewhere. Costa looks pretty delicate too, he will share minutes with Falcao.
For Kane to be ahead of Rooney in the betting is utter madness.
Rooney has a good fitness record. He will be playing as the main striker in a very much improved United side that will score a lot more goals than last year. Next season is going to be like 2011/12 Rooney when he went head to head with Drogba for the Golden Boot, ending with 27 league goals.
If he stays fit, he's a certainty for a place. 4/1 the place is a monster price Arb.

Adams is more of a mid fielder/play maker than striker.  He might not score too many from his own half again this season.
Walters is a work horse.
Crouch is not really a prime sticker nowadays, but should contribute well in the scoring charts.
Bojan, if injuy free, is clear fav out of those.

I know but 10 goals will win you the top scorer at stoke most years!  Huth nearly won it one year!  The penalty taker could win it some years as well just on pens.

Tighty - thoughts on Ulloa at 150/1?

No

11 in 33 last season

might not be first choice with Ranieri, who knows

won't score 20 which is what you need for top 4

16 or 17 should do it. It has been as low as 14.

arbboy

so the e/w shape of the book is not good at 3/1 5/1 14/1 bar two

dazzler posts "Sakho @ 66/1, J Rodriguez @ 90/1, Gomis @ 100/1, Chadli @ 200/1, Bojan @ 225/1, Jerome @ 250/1, Agbohlahor @ 300/1 all look ok to me."

ignore the names, but at these prices if you wanted to do them you would do them win only?

I would ask the question can the said players score 25 goals?  If not then i probably wouldn't be backing them full stop.  There is no ew value at all 1/4 1,2,3,4 on any outsider.  IF there is ew value it will only be at the very top of the market.

Jerome 250/1?  Really?  Fuck me i would lay 2500/1 if i had to win only.  There was a reason why in his prime he never got a game for Stoke years ago.

Fair enough if you reckon there is no mathematical value in these long shots. I would agree that there is no way most of those can win outright. Sakho maybe?

I think you're probably best waiting for transfer activity to settle.
Someone like Soldado or Adebayor at big prices might be interesting if they move elsewhere in the Prem. You'd have to move fast though.

The top end of the market is so deep and strong.  One or two players can't get injured at the top and give a rag a chance to win.  What will the top scorers at Chelski and Man City get this season? 22 goals? 25 goals?  Whoever starts up front for them.  Don't forget there could still be huge signings made yet for the big teams.  This could add another 10/20% to the overround which is already massive.  What price is Bale if he is signed?

FWIW i am not sure if Rooney is value at 4/1 to top 4.  I just said if there is any ew value then it will always be at the very top of the market.  the 1/4 1234 is a joke given they bet open golf to 8 places and still made it pay.

There isn't a chance in hell that top 8 is profitable for golf in the long run if they are anywhere near Betfair on win price hence the max £25 that they don't even lay for many and my max is 0p.   I am pretty sure top 6 at golf would be ruinous if you laid the shrewdies and priced near Betfair on the win prices.

If you show Camel, Neil or me a big handicap with the top 2 so short and we'd be all over it.

Sure top 5 would be nice, but top 6 is too much.

FWIW Will take your max on Rooney top 4 at 4/1, same for Berahino top 4 at 16/1 and same for Sterling at 20/1.

is jay rodriguez fit for aug 8th?

will he have to surplant pelle or would he play alongside him in a 2 or off him in in a 4-4-1-1?

(sneaky way of getting FPL stuff from dazzler this)

Jrod has been playing preseason and scored

playing in same role as he was with lambert 2 seasons ago when he got into england squad

It is his first tip, Fred. You know the rules. Come on.

We're due one with Bojan, after last season, after all.

They have really thorough medicals at Liverpool these days, don't they? Is it since they bought Aquilani on a stretcher?
