Ando is getting pissed off with Suljovic's slow play.

Could be a big upset here.

Amazing how short Ando is, even at 11-7.

"He's one leg away from putting Anderson out of the matchplay"

He's also one leg away from Anderson putting him in hospital by the look on Gary's face.

Haha, he doesn't look too impressed, with any of it.

a loss of £40 yesterday

profit of £67 for the month

Anderson was beaten by Suljovic, a big upset, at the World matchplay darts -£30

Duckett found himself in at 20-2, promoted to 4 and every chance to make a big score. slogged it to mid on, out for 4. number 5 made 51* and top scored. -£10

Chisnall through the quarter finals of the darts where he will play an up and coming new boy, Phil Taylor

Four stages left of the tour de france and we are nailed on to win the green jersey bet, Sagan is 104 points clear of Griepel, and nailed on to lose the team bet. Sky are over half an hour behind Movistar in 3rd place

this was my favourite image from yesterday

this is the route to conclude today's stage

County Cricket

Division 1

Warwickshire beat Somerset

Hapless Hampshire, poor all season, did Middlesex a favour by clinging onto a draw against top 4 durham at 179-9 helped by some rain late on the fourth afternoon

Yorkshire won again and look almost certain to retain their ttitle

top of the table

Yorkshire 189 with a game in hand
Warwickshire 155
Durham and Middlesex 151

We need Mddlesex in the top 3, and there are 5 games of the season to go

Division 2

Lancashire beat Glamorgan by an innings

top of the table

Lancashire 215
Surrey 183
Glamorgan 147

looking good to scoop

meanwhile....

and i googled tyson fury, as i wouldn't have known him in an identity parade. this should help many of us who haven't a clue who he is

Good report Tighty, thanks.

Makes me exhausted just to look at today's mountain stage of the Bike Race thing. Incidentally, for those that enjoy cycling, the Prudential London Race is Sunday August 2nd, in London & Surrey, & I shall be imprisoned for the day by road closures. Bloody cyclists.

Tyson Fury? I'd never heard of him, to be honest. Still, at 66/1 or whatever, it can't be terrible, can it? Have we ever got a SPOTY winner?

I watched that so-called cricket (ugh) last night, as I was keen to get my own view on this Duckett chap. The stage was, as it happens, perfectly set for him. You suggested it might play into his hands, & that was exactly what happened. Off we go then.

He was out for 4. He should have been out for a duck, after a remarkable mix up between two fielders resulted in a dolly catch falling harmlessly to ground between two fielders just yards apart. After YOU Sir.

Everything was perfectly teed up for him to shine, but he gave two ridiculous chances in the space of minutes.

I was left with the impression that young Mr Duckett is a potentially wasted talent, who needs to learn a bit of application goes a long way.  I hope he sorts himself out, cricket - even silly cricket - needs these colourful sorts.

we had the SPOTY winner last year, Hamilton at 10-1

Quite how he beat Rory with two major wins in the year remains a surprise but speaks to the strength of the petrolhead vote

not opening up the prices again but the realistic runners have to be

Hamilton, assuming he wins the title

Froome

Murray. If GB wins the Davis Cup he'll have to win both his singles and the doubles in the semi and the final as james ward won't be contributing any points. the semi is in september, the final just before SPOTY night. really good timing, will be fresh in people's minds
What's more, its on the BBC

root/cricketer. if england win the ashes

robshaw/rugby player. if england win the rugby world cup. the draw gives them a chance of this, as NZ and SA are in the other half

major sports, big terrestial presence mostly.

i couldn't have Fury over any of those currently. I genuinely doubt many SPOTY voters will have a clue who he is. Not in the public consciousness at all. The fight will be on PPV, not regular Sky? Just cannot get the quantity of votes to win this, i think

Murray is 16/1 and the double of him winning the us open and Davis cup at best prices is 14/1.  He must go very very close in a poor year if he wins the Davis cup (single handedly effectively) and the US open.  The davis cup timing just before SPOTY is just a bonus imo.

Froome would be (arguably) a worthy winner, but with a whole load of folks thinking he is not clean, that must harm his chances.

Root is so easy to like & admire. Young, smiles readily, & amazingly talented. But when you say "if England win the Ashes......"

McIlroy is out of the frame I guess.

Seems to be between Hamilton & Murray on the face of it. Whether they are value is another matter. The suspicion remains that a long-priced winner is out there somewhere.

I hear all that Tighty says, but who won third last year?

Jo Pavey. WHO?Huh???

I watch a lot of athletics, and she did well for an old bird, but its hardly in the same league as the potential World Heavyweight Champion, now is it?

Point made, I shall leave it at that. If he doesn't win its irrelevant.

someone suggested waiting on till his fight with Klit, and backing him pretty much immediately after the fight if he wins, as they'll not suspend the SPOTY market? don't know if that is the case, if that is then that looks the play, as he's a million to 1 to win SPOTY if he gets beat but some value if he wins

Remember fury is a 66s shot not 12s

The price alone tells us it is not very likely.

According to his Wiki page.....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyson_Fury

........Tyson Fury is said to be a distant relative (sounds a bit convenient to me, but it may be true) of a quite remarkable man, Bartley Gorman, who was the Bare Knuckle Champion apparently.

I read his book, was a tremendous read.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bartley_Gorman

Probably best not to mess with him, imo.

Just a quick Bojan update for my banker season bet for thread. Stoke won 6 (SIX) nil v Wrexam last night away. Our man scored 7, set up 4, scored one from the car park and was given the freedom of the city after the game. Well, he would of done......if he played.
