Pre-Race Bets:
Fastest Lap - Sergio Perez @ 40/1
with Beewin (33/1 is okay at brokes, choral, betfayre, betaway). Bit unsure about this one because we are on Sergio in so many markets already, but the 40/1 price is just too high. It's worth a fiver. Per Tikay's suggestion I looked at Ricciardo too. 28/1 on Unibet is a decent spot - but I won't be betting on it due to it being very unlikely. Sergio is much more likely to do it.
Group C (VER/SAI/MAL/GRO) - Max Verstappen @ 9/4
with Choral. I was tempted to go for Sainz in this market because he has looked quicker than his team mate this weekend. However, in a race situation, it's usually Max who comes on top. Plus, 9/4 in any race for Max is a fantastic spot. Suggest £20.
Group D (BUT/ALO/NAS/ERI) - Felipe Nasr @ 12/5
with Choral (2/1 with Hills is okay too) &
Marcus Ericsson @ 5/1
with Choral (9/2 with Hills and 366 is okay also). The McLaren's won't be a threat today, they're circa 25 kph slower on the straights than the field. That's what make the Sauber prices very tempting. Suggest £25 singles on Nasr and Ericsson.
There's one good spread available too:
Carlos Sainz/Pastor Maldonado match bet, buy Sainz at 3
. I'm putting £2.50 on it - very unlikely that Maldonado will beat Sainz today, barring a retirement or unusual circumstances.

Just for the record Peter, the Ricciardo suggestion was not mine, it came from a well known ex poker player and, if I understand correctly, a pro punter these days.
Deffo not me.

Again limited on where we can go
Marcus Ericsson (Sau) Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Group D
9/2
Total Stake: £25.00
Potential Returns: £137.50
Felipe Nasr (Sau) Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Group D
2/1
Total Stake: £25.00
Potential Returns: £75.00

Well done to fury, fought it very well, deserves to be champion after the last few years.
Pathetic tactics from klitschko as per, made career of not fighting. Heavy weight is weak in depth but the way him and his brother have behave has crucified it, boring fighters relying on their size. As soon as wlad came up with someone who he didnt have size on he was clueless.
Surely no chance Fury ever gives haye a shot after what he did to him. Haye is hopeless against big fighters anyway (I dont count audley as a fighter).
That sports personality tip cant look too bad now?
Cant see why he would retire, not like he got blasted, just out pointed.

I was very wrong about that fight, but thought they were both bloody woeful!

The shouty red man has put up a market on Tyson Fury's next opponent. It's a strange decision given Vlad has an immediate rematch clause he can invoke at any time. He's also only 2 fights into a 5 fight deal with HBO and a German network so it's not as if he's had retirement on the mind.
6/4 Vlad should be a lot shorter - that's essentially laying 4/6 he retires. A (funded) 10% account will get on £16.66
It's into evens now. He'd be shorter in my book but I'm struggling to think what the price should be. Some of the others are non runners.
Wilder has to defend against Povetkin in the spring. Zero chance they enter negotiations with Haye. Chagaev has a defence to make plus hep B stops him fighting in the UK. Young AJ's being brought along at a snails pace to fill out Hearn's shows.

The danger is a voluntary defence at home before the rematch. On SSN this morning he suggested that he would be able to have a voluntary defence first.

Haye vs valuev was dire, hayes weapons were useless. Many people wouldnt even have given haye the result.
I thought the fight would have vlad controlling Fury and getting the decision. Vlad must try to win a rematch now or everything he did is just is even more valueless than it was already viewed.

Didnt rahman try to say this when he wanted to fight tyson instead of giving lewis his title back. It soon came out he couldnt risk the title in the contract?

Think we had a small bet on the redskins to win nfc east 7/1? Big game today against the Giants.

almost a must win
the 4 teams in the division are all varying degrees of disappointing, but if the giants win they are 2 clear with 5 to play

I have to declare a bias on this one, so I am primarily asking for views, over an explicit recommend for Fred.
There's a potentially huge game in Kansas City this evening, where the Chiefs host the Buffalo Bills. These are two teams vying for an AFC Wildcard spot to get into the playoffs and the head to head will likely be a factor, the way things are going, as it's very close, with a cluster of teams competing for the two fastest loser spots.
These are two teams built on their defense and running games. The Chiefs have been without their stellar running back for most of the season but still have the offensive line to create space for whoever carries the rock. The defense struggled early but has really kicked into gear the last few weeks. In Maclin and Thomas, they have two competent wide receivers and a tight end in Travis Kelce who can make big plays through the air in support.
The Bills have their elite running back fit and firing again, plus have found a gem in his understudy, rookie, Karlos Williams. The defense has some injuries (two of the big four are out today: Kyle Williams and Mario Williams, though Marcel "Williams" Dareus is fit) but the team shapes well to stop the run. The Bills have rotated well in the defensive line during games of late, so the next batters up are familiar with the systems and the occasion.
Through the air on defense, we get to see two of the best cornerback pairings in the NFL at work and the circumstances of the game are likely to dictate a more cautious, run-first approach from both teams. Whilst Kansas City clearly have the edge at quarterback in Alex Smith, Tyrod Taylor has surprised many with his low-risk style of attack and good scrambling (which he may well need today against elite linebacker, Justin Houston). The Bills primarily just need their quarterback not to lose them the game. He's having a good season and will play today.
The Bills have been inconsistent but have tended to play up to better teams and down to worse.
The line is 6 points in favour of the Chiefs, according to Better Fred. I see this being a close game and Buffalo plus the points feels rather enticing.
What do the neutrals think?
tempted by under 42 i think, more than a side

I'm confused by all this. Wlad has said he'll invoke the rematch clause

Option 1 is Vlad invokes the rematch.
Option 2 is Vlad retires.
The third option I overlooked this morning was Vlad allowing a soft voluntary defence inbetween. On this occasion any other fight would be a minuscule payday compared to a rematch. All in all a voluntary wouldn't have much purpose.
