Glasto headline acts are booked well in advance - Emily Eavis says 2017 headliners are already booked.

What was that Neil Channing said about never betting on facts?

Can't believe Betfair Sportsbook would offer prices on something that's already happened? They're far too professional.

Re: Discussion last week about wrist-spinners being a good wicket taking threat in the Big Bash( think it was Maldini would expressed an interest?). only Stanley J have priced markets up so far for top wicket takers for each individual team for the whole competition, so bigger prices may appear when/if the rest make a book, but a decent guide to where we'd be at:

Adelaide Strikers : Adil Rashid 7/2

Brisbane Heat : Samuel Badree 10/3

Hobart Hurricanes : Cameron Boyce 9/4

Melbourne Renagades : N/A

Melbourne Stars : Adam Zampa 7/1

Perth Scorchers: Brad Hogg 5/1, James Muirhead 17/2

Sydney Sixers : N/A

Sydney Thunder : Fawad Ahmed 6/1

Given how weak I think Brisbane Heat's bowling is, Badree is the one that jumped out at me.

away from the spinners, David Willey is 5/1 in a tough market against Tye, Behrendorff, possibly Coulter-Nile, Hogg and Paris.

A 10/1 poke for serious thought:

Caution- obvious BIAS factor involved, but would class myself as a shrewd punter and a hugely knowledgeable football fan for many years.

Charlie Austin, of QPR, has scored 10 goals in the championship already this season and has missed half a dozen games through injury. He is one off the top of the scoring charts, behind Mc Cormack and Gray, who have eleven each. It is a congested top end of the table so far after 21 games of 46:

Charlie publicly stated last night that he will not be going in January and has effectively decided to stay on at QPR till his contract expires in the summer, rather than move to a lower half premier league side in January. He will then move on a free and be entitled to a large signing on fee in the summer as recompense for his services. If he stays on and Gets QPR up or into the playoffs to give themselves a chance at the £100 Million promotion is worth, then it will be worth every penny for the club to let him see his contract out and leave on a free. He had been a brilliant player for this club for the 2 and a half years he has been at the club, 23 goals in our playoff winning season in 2013/14, 18 goals in a side diseased by mercenaries in the premier league last year. He has scored at a ratio of a goal every 2 games ever since he entered professional football. He plays with a passion i haven't witnessed at QPR for many years, and is a natural goalscorer, both feeted and excellent in the air.

Provided he stays injury free, QPR under JFH will be a much improved side in the second part of this season, and i fully expect us to be there or thereabouts in the promotion play offs at worse. Bearing in mind we have 25 league games to go, i fully expect the 10/1 on offer to be long gone by the new year, and providing Charlie is good to his word, will end up there or thereabouts as the top scorer in the championship this season. Other players might well leave in January for the lure of the premier league, and others are yet to have a run of injuries that might dent their chances. I had some 33/1 on Charlie at the start of the season, but could never recommend a bet then, as was a high possibility he would leave either in August or January. Now he has stated he will be staying, and already bang up there, the 10/1 still on offer should be snapped up and i have had another chunk on at 10/1 this morning.

Good Luck if you decide to have a play!

Andre Gray 11
Ross McCormack  11
Charlie Austin 10
Nick Blackman 9
Moussa Dembele 9
Jordan Rhodes 9
Chris Martin  9

Price looks about right to me

Problem being

Andre Gray 11 (wont be sold not been there long no reason he wont carry on scoring to get at least a place)
Ross McCormack  11 (massive wages proven level scorer hard to see leaving or missing a place)
Charlie Austin 10
Nick Blackman 9 (most likely to fall away)
Moussa Dembele 9 (could be sold massive talent could fall away)
Jordan Rhodes 9 (is never sold will be in places blackburn improving slowly)
Chris Martin  9 (wont be sold always plays reliable scorer for level)

not an each way market in any shape or form

Looks a cracking ew market at 1/4 1234.  Can't be more than 20 runners with serious claims surely at this stage of the season. Probably similar to the BAGS track championship when they were fast asleep and still offering 1/4 123 on a 7 runner event.

A 16 runner hcap with 1/4 1234 where every horse is 14/1 is a cracking ew heat even though it is incredibly competitive.

thanks arb well aware of that!

Point i was trying to make is that compared to League One top goalscorer for example i dont think it is a great each way heat, 2 of the top 4 in the betting in league one ts are possibles to not been in the league past Jan plus there is slightly less depth

We did look a totally different team last night against Brighton. Whether it's JFH's influence, or Austin starting or just one of our random 3 good performances per season, I don't know.

If QPR are now to become a team that creates goalscoring chances, there's no one else to stick them in the net other than Austin.

Was sort of hoping the ACDC bet had slipped under the radar- can't get on myself due to living in Asia for the time being. Messaged someone back home to get the bet on for me only to find out they've not checked they're messages this morning. Doh. 22/1 just won't do it. Best of luck with the bet for those who got on, hopefully it won't be as miserable as my Gomis top PL Scorer this season

Think Champo top scorer market is perfect for EW as long as they're paying four spots (sorry horsey).

McCormack, for example, is virtually a win-part freeroll if he stays injury free, especially if Dembele is sold as seems likely. Happy with my 16-1 pre-season  aftertiming

Austin defo a good EW bet at 10-1 four spots. Flick!

Austin is a great e/w bet IMO.

FWIW Gray stank the gaff out last night at the Riverside. He hasnt scored in his last 4 games either.
