What a pair of performances from Barney to give the finger to the doubters

Im still a doubter. He will choke at some point, he always does.

(My irrational hatred of Barney may shien through here)

Five-time world champ RVB is a what now?

As I said, irrational hatred, although there have been games in the last year when he has been under the pump where he has just jacked it in.

I think that if Lewis or Anderson gets Grin him under pressure, he will fold.

Lucky Smith didn't get him under the cosh.

As soon as Barney started coming back into it, Smith crumbled a little bit, he didn't put his foot down again. That will come with experience, which the like of Anderson and Lewis have.

If he stands up to it then, I will give him credit Smiley

Just the 100 pages to catch up on. No bad.

Anyway, Dundee derby today in the half 12 kick off. bet365 have left Stewart in the goalscorer market which is skewing others plus they've just made some players way too short. Hemmings has 5 in last 2 games and is somehow 15/2, 9/2 the correct price I think.

12/5 anytime.
16/1 2 or more.
100/1 hat trick.

Just a heads up for anyone wanting a clear wrong price.

Have Villa signed Messi overnight?  Why are Sunderland nearly 6/4?

Lost five in a row, have barely any fit defenders, can't score.

Still backed them at that price, mind. What would you have them at?  11/10?

Daily Report

A new years resolution to give this a go, but i have just had to sort the site out and so will be out of time soon

so a quick one to start off with, try to do bells and whistles asap

Jan 2016

Profit on Month £349.02

Outstanding Bets £3628.88

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1eCEvN9MELsUxB81rHuWrfoX3zwIMPQQ205Lcjm3kbgU/edit#gid=34

profits yesterday

+£180 Wright beat Lewis 11-7 in 180s in his PDC Quarter final defeat.

+£150 Anderson -1.5 on the handicap against Wade

+£100 Gleneagle Tina at Romford at 6-1. unfortunately restricted to win £100

+£49 Sawdust Shaggy at Romford 7-1. unfortunately restricted again

+£40 Five star clipper at Romford 4-5. not restricted but your bet placer went lily-livered

losses yesterday

-£15 Wright ante-post for the PDC

-£25 Marmalady in the Romford 9.06

-£40 Marmalady ante-post

-£50 Smith to beat Van Barneveld, lost 5-4 and had two darts to win it i think i read. missed double top?

the RVB 40-1 ante post ticket e/w lives into the semi-finals where he plays Lewis

QPR lost 2-1 at home to Hull, thats no wins in JFH's first six games

Austin was left out again, apparently the Premier League awaits in january contrary to previous pronouncements that he was there all season

Great to see these back.

The full Fred experience.

I seriously think this Villa team is shocking.  Much worse than even the league table looks.  I am amazed that the spreads still have them in for mid/high 20's points for the whole season.  How are they suddenly going to turn into a 42 point a season team?  What's going to change?  They have a manager with no experience of the league.  There has been no honeymoon period as a new gaffer which is super worrying (they haven't won a game since the opening day of the season).  Bham's fav local boy gabby is sitting on £60k a week and will not play under this gaffer which can't be good for the dressing room.

Sunderland have got goalscorers even if they don't have defenders.  Big Sam in charge with huge experience of this situation.  I made them a shade of odds on.  This is Sunderland's easiest game of the season.  Sam surely has put his whole xmas predominately into focusing on this game to pick up 3 points (their last 3 games have been lolapool, chelski and man city)

Can the outright prices for a Premier League match ever be 'wrong' on the day of a game?

There's thousands lined up either side to back and lay at current prices, so aren't these prices essentially always correct?

Obv it's fine to disagree with them, but for punterers to ever say the prices are wrong is...wrong.

Anywhere where there are tens of millions of pounds of mug cash being punted markets can and are wrong quite often.  I don't buy into this fact at all otherwise epl gambles on the day of the game wouldn't move prices 30 or 40 spots which routinely happens.   How was the price so wrong all week to start with if it is always 'right' on the off?

They are more likely to be right on the off but it doesn't always mean every market is.

Pre-Betfair, markets would often be wrong, but when that much money is traded backwards and forwards, it doesn't make sense that they will ever be that far wide of the mark. You might disagree with them, but that doesn't make them wrong.

If you look at racing results over the last ten years, SPs have been remarkably accurate. 3-1 shots win approx. one in four, 6-1 shots win approx. one in seven, etc.

Garde does have premier league experience and worked under the GOAT/Clown (delete as appropriate) at the Woolwich. He's made them more solid at the back and hasn't been helped by injuries and suspensions (Ayew and Westwood both out today). Agbonlahor is no loss at all. Villa fans have been waiting for him to go for years.

The issue, as you infer, is the lack of actual talent on the pitch. They simply HAVE to buy to stay up.

Can't find any stats but I have a recollection of Defoe scoring well against villa for spurs over the years. That would have been in the Mellberg/Laursen days, mind.
