Much to my surprise, the F1 markets are fairly well priced at the moment. The bookies are being conservative here.

Found a few spots though:

Leader after 1st Lap - Sebastian Vettel @ 12/1 with LadsLadsLadsbrokes (10/1 with numerous is fine too). The media don't appear to have discussed this at all, but the start procedure is very different this year with a reduction in driver aids and no communication from the pit wall. During 2015, Ferrari were consistently quick starters, and Mercedes were lacking in this area. That's what makes this price too high. Suggest £10.

Now, there's a bit of an option next. Excluding retirement, I can't see the two Force India's finishing below 11th place tomorrow, as an absolute worse case based on pace.

As a spread bet, selling Force India at 81 in the market "Force India Multi Finishing Positions" seems like a good spot to me. Suggest £2.50. Betting for Force India to get a double points finish at 7/4 with 366 and VetBictor is also a viable option. I would suggest £50 on this.

It's an interesting one. One retirement would ruin the double points bet, but the multi finishing positions spread could still be on. Force India look quick to me on race pace, so I'll be doing the spread bet.

Couple of other spreads:
(http://www.sportingindex.com/spread-betting/motor-racing/formula-1-f1-australian-grand-prix/group_a.ff7e51da-3754-4d9f-98e5-75016c6afe4e/f1-australian-grand-prix-specials-and-match-bets)

N.Hulkenberg/S.Perez - Sell at -1.5. Sergio has been the quicker all weekend, by a big margin at times too.
F.Nasr/K.Magnussen - Sell at 0. Renault > Sauber in race trim. Surprised Nasr is the favourite here.

Suggest £5 on both.

What do you covet more?

A gold bracelet this summer or Pardew taking Palace down whilst Rafa keeps you up? Smiley

A comfortable and largely uneventful draw for Anand today against Giri. This was pretty predictable. As is required, the players went to the commentary room straight after the game to discuss their game. Sometimes, it's pretty tense (imagine Phil Taylor and Kevin Painter going straight into a chat about their game with Dave, Rod and Eric), but this was always going to be light and light-hearted:

India's answer to Geoff Shreeves gave it another go:

You can see Anand working out whether he should say the same thing in response to the rest day question.

Topalov lost to Nakamura but everyone else drew, including Aronian v Karjakin, the two in the joint lead. This means the table at the halfway stage looks like this:

We have had worse 13/1 shots. Our man is in decent form. The winning score is likely to be 8.5 or 9.

Thanks guys! A profit of £93.75 for me personally this weekend. Obviously it depends which bets you got on though.

Some worked great, some really didn't. In terms of the race, things were largely skewed by the timing of the red flag. Great race though! Smiley

I sense a man who does not suffer fools gladly, but is trying to.

Cracking bet this, at 13/1, lots of mileage & fun in it, almost the perfect Fred bet.

Congratulations Peter.

Echo this, another good result for those who follow Peter. A long F1 season awaits, & plenty more opportunities.

Well done Peter.
