Evening Tighty.

With all my faffing about on the other thread I have missed a couple of nice tennis bets for here. Tomorrow Dzumhur should be backed to beat Chardy in the Rome tennis. I make Dzumhur a decent favourite but we can get 11/10

Suggest £15 Dzumhur @ 11/10 with Coral.

With Danny Welbeck looking a serious doubt about making the Euros Roy's going to be doing some tinkering on the make up of his squad.  Rooney's proving he can do a job as a midfield option so I'm convinced Welbeck will be replaced by an out and out striker who will be a good option to change the game coming off the bench.  He'll also need to be a "decent lad" around the hotel etc as they aren't likely to get much game time.  I know who I'd want coming on if we need a goal in the last 15 minutes.   Defoe has shortened up recently but @ 12/1 looks like he might be a value shout to me, he's certainly one of the form strikers in the Premier League. I'd be interested in what others think.

I don't mind that idea but feel that Carroll might be ahead of Defoe.

10/1 with jokes seems generous too.

I did wonder about Carroll but with 2 league games to go this season I make him a shade of odds on to be injured.  Wink

I also hoped England had got past the stage of lumping it in the box to the big fella when getting desperate but I agree he's also a good shout at the price and can definitely change the shape of a game from the bench.  Hmmm.

I did a few minutes' research this evening for the TfT Naps comp and camp up with this:

Oh go on then...

Baseball
Detroit Tigers @ Washington Nationals
Tonight

20 points on Daniel Murphy to get a home run anytime.

Available with Paddy (29/5) and Hills (9/2)

http://www.oddschecker.com/baseball/mlb/detroit-tigers-at-washington-nationals/anytime-home-run

Rumoured to be moving up the order behind the perennially walked Bryce Harper and slugging like a shell-less snail, this could be good fun.

Any views from baseball fans?

The guy batting normally at 4 is Zimmerman, but he's struggling for form. Murphy moving up would mean two left handers in a row, which is generally avoided. However, with Harper successfully getting the Barry Bonds walk treatment against Chicago Cubs, this is likely to be repeated by other teams and that means the guy at 4 is going to get chances. Harper is the second man in form.

Can accommodate for Fred if we want.

Tighty, did you see my PM the other day about the neffle?

Brilliant!

Entirely unintentional. I couldn't write something that good, could I?

The baseball tip won?

Wowzer, nice one Tal.

Shame Lord Tight was not around last night to accept your kind offer, but no matter, Adz and a few others got on, so all good.

Yup. It didn't go how I expected, in that Murphy stayed where he was in the order and Bryce Harper was sent off ejected for getting a bit John Terryish with the officials. Nevertheless, Mr Murphy is in form, it seems:

Still some evens around about SDS for the jockey's championship. Go in again please, take the total bet up to £500.

Obv there was no domestic Flat racing yesterday, but Ryan was in Ireland and has taken today off. That feels like it might be a trend for the summer. Meanwhile, SDS is doing the Brighton-Windsor double header.

He'll be a prohibitive price within a couple of weeks I fancy.

i struggle to get that amont on anywhere

anyway this takes it to £335 total

I'd say that 1/100 for Russia to qualify from Eurovision semifinal one is a solid bet if you have any cash in your accounts that you won't be using today!

The only way I can see them missing out is if they are DQd or the stage sets on fire or something.

Fatty/Thinny Evans (I read somewhere he's lost 15st...) 6-4 for the Forest job and Evens for the Posh gig, for which he's apparently being interviewed on Thursday.

Guess he'll be taking one or the other, or launching a career as an Eddie Izzard lookalike.
