Spain is the new Italy with these short priced fixed games, just gets nowhere near the same media coverage as Italy used to get.

Apparently a few of Villareals coaching staff are from Gijon and have said they are desperate for Gijon to stay up. Next level up from Pardew's comments about hoping Newcastle do before the Newc Palace match.

as it stands, this will be the 1st time in 22 years that neither Chelsea nor Liverpool will finish in the top 6 of the PL

Morning Tighty.

Today Nadal plays Kyrgios at the Rome ATP. We successfully opposed Nadal last week, when Andy Murray beat him,and I think we should oppose him today. Kyrgios is a very  similar player to Murray. He has a big serve, and ground shots and mixes up drop shots as well. Whilst he is not on his best surface he has beaten some good clay courters this season and Nadal has still not taken any time off so I think he must be jaded.

Suggest £15 Kyrgios @ 14/5 with sportingbet or 11/4 with coral is OK.

Some of you may have noticed that horsey has not posted for a while, in fact he has not logged into blonde for a week now.

News reaches me that he is in hospital, & most unwell. I don't have any more details, but I am given to understand it is not a trivial matter.

John is much missed here, so lets hope he fully recovers, & the sooner the better.

Interesting looking at the set betting for that match for Kyrgios to win.

B365, PP and Hills have him to win 2-0 as a shorter price than 2-1, whereas others have 2-1 as the shorter price.

I would have thought that these set scores would be derived from the outright prices so whilst the actual prices would be different, the one which is fav would not.

I'd guess that on the standard formula, 2-1 would be more likely than 2-0 for the big underdog, but some bookies have factored in that a large % of the time, the reason Kyrgios wins is because Rafa just doesn't turn up, so 2-0 is the more likely winning score for Kyrgios.

Evans was due to be interviewed for the Posh gig today.

Earlier it was 4-6 Evans, 2-1 McCann. Now it's 1-6 McCann, 8-1 Evans, so fair to assume the interview didn't exactly go to plan. Only VC and Sky have been betting on it.

A friend of mine tried to back McCann at 8-1 with VCdontbet the other night. He pinged in a bet, got the spinning clock and then the message that the price had changed. He tried again but the same thing happened...and Evans was down to 4-1.

This was late at night, so there's no way anyone else was backing him at the same time. This is something that VC seem to do quite a bit and it's absolutely disgusting. Yes, VC boys, I know you're reading this.

If they haven't shut you down, they 'spinning clock' you instead. Disgrace.

Get well soon Horsey.

On another unrelated matter; will Midterm manage to avoid tripping over his coltishness in The Dante?
