It's counted as inplay now
Haven't seen outright prices since the tournament went in play
Flash wolves(the team that beat g2 in the best of 1 at the start) are about to face off against H2k in the other semi
Could do with h2k winning but not a disaster if not

Thistlecrack is back in to 11/1 on the machine for the Gold Cup.  Colin Tizzard has confirmed he is getting scanned again, presumably because they aren't convinced the injury is as serious as they thought it was.

Good luck 999/1 layers.

Is Tizzard pulling a Hendo(remember Binocular?!)?

Surely not!

I remember Binocular.  Wasn't there another one that came back from 999/1 too.

This kind of thing is just awful for ante post backers/layers.  The price moves a big lump and then you get the announcement.  Meanwhile some poor sods have been conned again.

I hope it comes to nothing.

Flash wolves have just won the other semi final, very long series and they aren't getting much of a break, hopefully a disadvantage
Final will be on in 15 mins I expect

Odds for the final are at 365
G2 8/15 flash wolves 11/8
Wasn't expecting that before FW semi final but they didn't play great.

I hope it comes to something if I am honest. I've quite a few bets on TC for the GC and not only do I not want to have done my money, but also have no real interest in anything else that is running in the race. I don't get it though, didn't they take it for a scan a week ago and get the news, what's so different now?

New Approach laid at 200/1 for the Derby having been left in "by mistake" too.

Just for Aaron.  It isn't normal punters who I have issue with.  You back a horse, a week later it gets injured, you just accept it as part of the game.   If it runs, good luck to you.

It is where you put a back/lay up on a horse because the trainer saying categorically the horse is doing A and then it does B.  But an hour before the change of plans someone with inside knowledge effectively steals all the money waiting to back the horse in race A.  In this case, the betfair lay money is smashed before the announcement.   So the whole integrity of the betfair antepost market is ruined.  I used to be a lot more active in the betfair ante-post markets, but tread more carefully now.

looking at Cheltenham top jockey, who is going to be the JP McManus number 1, and is there any value in the market?

I note that Mark Walsh (M P Walsh) is "unquoted"

yet "Mark Walsh has forged a close association with leading owner JP McManus and is regularly to be seen in the famous green and gold hoops. He rode his first Grade 1 winner on the McManus-owned Defy Logic at the Leopardstown Christmas festival in 2013. Injury robbed him of a first jockey's championship in the 2014/15 season but he finished the term on a high with success on Jezki in the Grade 1 Ladbrokes World Series Hurdle at the Irish National Hunt Festival at Punchestown. "

might they stick him up on all the Geraghty stuff?

it only takes a Ruby injury for a lot of this market to look very interesting

Aiden Coleman been riding  a lot for JP already this season.

I suspect he may pick up a good deal of rides and has sat on a fair few of the JP runners from this side of the water already. I fancy that may be the split between he and MP

I've had a score on Fehily, who I'm hoping with get the rides on Buveur D'air & UKWIMH, and might pick up some other good rides through the week.

I watched the Thai LPGA highlights and also the final day as live stream and it didn't really feature any of our Girls. Brilliantly, Lexi Thompson went Birdie, birdie, eagle, birdie and they didn't show any of that but did manage to get a camera on her bogeying the next?

We did get some money back but didn't break even. Pornanong Phatlum struggled badly from the little they showed of her and I don't think I saw any of Nomura.

When the ball pitches on the number one shot in this video you'll see Pornanongs ball on the first cut. That pretty much summed up the luck she had. If you could pick the nut worst spot to be on any given hole she seemed to be in it. That putt she left herself was ridiculously fast and she was lucky to walk away with a par.

In the third round she was hitting her drives 30 yards less than normal, not sure if she was hitting a three wood off the tee but actually had her best score. Her G.I.R. was pretty poor, 11/18 compared to 15/18 in the Bahama's.

Nomura's G.I.R. was incredibly bad, 5/18 in the first round allthough she did only have 102 putts all tournament whish is pretty low. The winner had 104, most others had 120 give or take a few.

Shanshan feng who went off 7/1 favourite totally blew up on the final round. She's a large Lady to be polite and I think having to complete rounds and then go back out a few hours later because of the weather totally killed her chances. To a lesser extent I think Ariya Jutanugarn suffered as well. In contrast, the winner Amy Yang has calves like Sonny Bill Williams and obviously puts a lot of work into fitness.

I do have some picks for this week's event in Singapore and will post on Wednesday. Follow at your own peril.
