Afternoon Tighty.

This afternoon's 2nd semi final in the Rugby league challenge cup is between Salford and Wigan. Wigan are favourites but I think the price is too short. I envisage a tight game and if Salford are to win then they have to cut down on conceding penalties. The 5/2 with betfred is a decent price.

Suggest £20 Salford @ 5/2 with betfred.

Watched Sunderland yesterday, woeful team, goalie seems allergic to footballs. Lost 5-0 to a Celtic team playing 4 or 5 reserves, no fit strikers, Celtic couldn't break down Rosenberg midweek.

Sunderland home to Derby on Friday 4th August, Derby 5/2 (Marathon), 23/10 (B365/Vic)

Providing nobody from fred comes in with information that Derby lost to the local Brownies second 11, I'd recommend £20 on Derby.

could sunderland be in proper trouble?

worth a peak at prices in the relegation market?

lost most of their goals (Defoe)

off the field is unstable, no investment in the team

seen teams fall through this league in similar circumstances

Cricket recommendation - Kent v Glamorgan

Corals/Ladbrokes: Darren Stevens wickets under 0.5, 2.20

Darren Stevens is a 41-year old all-rounder who has been bowled extensively in all competitions for quite a few seasons now, and done well. The typical batsman now gives his medium-pace dobbers a decent amount of respect. In Kent's first t20 match he bowled 4 overs and took no wickets. In in the subsequent six matches he has been given a maximum of one over in every match and taken no wickets. Even Joe Denly is being given overs, and taking wickets, lowering Stevens' opportunities for overs.

Other bowlers who get 3+ overs every match are only a little longer for under 0.5 wickets (Claydon 2.5, Neesham 2.45), and have been taking wickets too (Claydon 5, Neesham 7).

Recommend £30 on under 0.5 match wickets.

According to some of the stuff on the fans forum aye. Has been a miserable pre-season, they were beaten 3-0 by St Johnstone as well. Got Martin Bain as chief exec -  the same Martin Bain who was chief exec at Rangers immediately before their sale & subsequent liquidation. Seems to be a perfect storm of shite, for them at the moment.

bet Victor best price 16/1, for others to consider. Maybe some local knowledge around?

There is no area in oddschecker for this market, and I'm pretty confident that no other firms will have priced this up

Agree with this, I backed Sunderland to get relegated last night @ 20/1, seemed a huge price based on what I saw yesterday albeit it was only a pre season friendly and they have a new manager etc but they have the look of a team with real issues.

We backed Nathan Redmond at 14/1 last year for top Southampton league goalscorer which just about got over the line with 7 goals.

https://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/southampton/top-league-goalscorer

Bet 365 have put him up at 16/1 this year.

Last year, Redmond placed 10th in the whole league for total shots (83). He placed 5th in the whole league for shots in the box (57). For comparison Dele Alli had 58 and Hazard had 56. He is just 23 so still lots of room to improve his finishing.

The front two in the market look very opposable. Gabbiadini has only scored more than 10 league goals once in his career. Charlie Austin does not suit the high pressing style that Pellegrino is expected to bring, has injury issues and may not start given we are expected to favour a 4-5-1.

For comparison WH seem to be the only other to have the market and have him at 8/1.

Recommend another £20 please if someone can get us on.

Loving these seasonal recs. Can't go wrong with double-figure punts like these. Flick'em all in I say.
