Anna Firth, the Tory candidate is a Vote Leave stalwart, and Canterbury was 51% leave in the referendum, but despite the fact she is not from the city I cannot have Labour at 1.44. The student vote may well mirror the numbers of 2017, as semester-wise a similar amount will be around. But will as many be keen on a Labour Party now thoroughly tarnished with anti-Semitic tropes?

Suggest £20 for Conservatives at 2.75 (365), and Fred is welcome to have it with me if this market goes down soon #postalvotespoiler.

So Labour held the seat and actually increased their majority to 1836, a 3.1% margin of victory. So I’m not sure if the 2.75 was value considering the actual outcome. I’d be interested to hear anyone’s thought regarding that.

Over the evening, the odds on the tories drifted out to 2/1 (yes, I went in again!) before coming right in after the exit polls.

I looked at the MRP poll after your post and it looked a likely labour win.  I am not sure whether the bet was value or not, but I didn't really fancy it.  Any arguments now are tainted with hindsight though.

Nice little EW terms-abusing top scorer Yankee if we're still doing flckage?

Vardy at around 20-1
Grant at around 16-1
Jackson at around 16-1
Yates at around 16-1

Shame about Kayden Jackson. Vardy now favourite, Yates and Karlan every chance of a place.

Huybrechts
Ratajski
Smith

And if O’Connor gets past price, he will beat everyone else in that quarter

Huybrechts breezes through rob cross

Charged with impeachment, or found guilty of it?

Think he's certain to get off.

Here (in theory I assume) is how much tax she is due to pay. In reality, I suppose, it'll be much less once she's got her tax experts on the case.

From AlunB on Twitter;

Fun fact. Bet365 has enough cash left in the business they haven't taken as dividends to buy William Hill *and* Kindred outright.

I would have thought she would have done it as efficiently as possible, but if it really came out as salary and dividend as reported then I bet she is paying most of the tax you calculated.

I have read before that she isn't one for avoiding tax.

Deserves every penny she has made.  The hardest working human being i have ever met.  Convinced money was only a way to keep score with who was winning with Denise even way back.
