I've got a huge chunk tied up in seasonal bets and god knows what they'll do with those.

Posh top six, Ivan Toney top L1 scorer, Swindon in various multiples.

You'd hope that whatever they decide to do it'll be the same with every bookmaker and Betfair. Be carnage otherwise.

Was looking forward to grimming Tikay on that Posh bet, but looks like he might get to grim me  Cry

Barry Dennis just put these on twitter from the late 90s.   What an era.

Great reference to Emma Noble by Gary Selby.   Forgot all about Emma Noble.   The FHM lads mag era!

What have you arbed?

Nothing personally

Be carnage otherwise.

Someone will have though, would be unfortunate to "nick a risk-free penny" in large scale and end up losing on both legs.

Anything can happen I guess but you'd imagine PP and Betty Sportsbook would have to do the same as the exchange. Same with Daq and Lads.

I'd be surprised to see football back in the next few months now. Very surprised.

I was having a look at the card at Caen later today and noticed that in the 3.15 and 3.50 every horse is 3yo and their name begins with an H, the 4.25 is 5yo and names start with an F and 4.58 for 4yo and every name starts with a G.

What's that all about?

For A.Q.P.S. (Autre Que Pur Sang) horses, which includes trotters, anglo-arabs, as well as what we would call "half-breds", each year requires a horse’s name to begin with a designated letter of the alphabet. For example, foals of 2002 have names beginning with the letter "O", 2003 "P" and so on.

A lot of these are trotting races.  Caen is a lovely place from memory

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

Those trotting races are terrible things to watch but someone seems to know about them - just had a race there where the first two home were backed from 8/1 to 5/2 and 16/1 to 9/2.

I used to love them when I lived in Canada. I used to go and watch them at Woodbine.

All the "clockers" would turn up to see the warm-ups a couple of hours before racing as they can be very indicative of form, especially if a fancied horse keeps "breaking stride" or an outsider is running very fast times.

No idea if it's the same in France but I would imagine it'd be very similar.
