That bet on Cristal Bonus was the worst £20 I've ever spent.

I got more value out of the tenner I threw in the bin on Tuesday - at least I got a story out of that.

Checked my emails before that race and had one from Laddies saying money back if your horse comes second in the first race.  So I put my first ever win only bet on Sir Des Champs thinking he'd prolly end up second, but if he wins it's a bonus.  That was a nice wee bonus.

Solix was disappointing though.  Had a feeling this morning that Henderson's had his day yesterday and won't do much today, but really liked that horse for a decent place.  Ah well.  NEXT!

Love Sir Des Champs, got me out of trouble 2 years in a row now. Roll on the gold cup next year. Absolute machine.

Agreed, horrible run... not the first time this festival Ruby Walsh has looked that bad I've noticed. Again note i'm no racing expert, there may have been reasons for it.

He came from nowhere in last year's race to abso crush it, then cleans up today.  Will definitely be one to watch for Gold Cup.

And Ruby is having a ridic bad week of it.  I've mostly stayed away from any horse he's on purely because he's on it.

Remind me again - why are we on Little Josh?  I know it's due to some post or other around here.

I like Blazing Tempo but not sure about Ruby so went with Albertas Run e/w instead in the next.  Also picked up a wee e/w on Poquelin.

Someone said that they thought they were lucky to get 66/1 yesterday on Little Josh... been drifting on betfair ever since, 120 to back at the moment! Obv i'm on for a tiny bit but can't say i'm overly confident Wink

Following yesterday's McCririck discussion, WTF is Lesley Graham still doing on TV.

She was never any good, has an annoying voice and seems to know fk all about racing (her efforts at tipping seem to amount to picking the favourite and saying 'I think he's got a chance today').

And all while Lydia Hislop languishes behind a paywall.

And my wee e/w is out after biting it's tongue before the race.    I've a soft spot for greys, so took a quick e/w on the pair of them instead.
