Did Wenger actually say that about Cech? Sounds more Shearer than Wenger..

That aside Cech statiscally has had a good season:

It was actually John Terry who made the original comment, but Wenger did pick up on it in a few interviews.

Stats and Agendas aside, something big has to change.

A surprisingly enjoyable game of football with several rousing chants of "fuck off maurinho" echoing around the stadium.

A tactical masterclass from the one and only AW - including another assured and cultured performance from Rob Holding who's range of passing is exceptional.

Can we expect a Wenger contract announcement this week after the best performance of the season?

Nothing would surprise me - unless Kroenke himself announced it of course!

Seriously though, if Rob Holding maintains the improvement he's shown this season we might have the next Franz Beckenbauer on our hands - he's amazing.

Isn't it?

As Camel says, you just know whats coming next.

Speaks volume our "master tactician" has only taken 200 attempts to beat a Jose team. What a genius.

Pretty sure I would fluke one in the end..... Wink

Like watching ox. One of the arsenal players that hasn't hid when given a chance. As said, must be odds on the new contract is announced this week. Cross was convinced it was signed two months ago but results have meant no window to announce it since

I thought the first half was decent but the start of the second was a bit dire until Xhaka's thunderbolt.

Ox and Rambo had very decent games - Ox predictably so after I switched him at the 11th hour from my FF team for Redmond  win or lose

The thunderbolt that would have landed in DDG's arms if it hadn't deflected off a defender's backside, or another one?

Is qualifying for Europa better or worse than being Europe free next season?

It can be pointed out that Man U have been in the europa recently, spurs too, Chelsea didn't even get into Europe.
Wether it be because they changed manager or lost the core of their team, they didn't qualify to the champions league
What's arsenals excuse? What players can be signed to keep up with what all the teams around them are going to be doing?
I've only seen one person say wenger should stay lol.

it's the only way united are getting into the CL for next season, and may be Arsenals only way for a few years as well. Tough one though. Now that there's a CL spot for the winners it's a lot more enticing.

Side note (and something I'm sure I could find out by googling) If United finish 5th and win the Europa, do we still get the 4 CL spots or does one get downgraded to Europa because of it?
