Hearing whispers from usually reliable sources that Sanchez signed half an hour ago.

I hope they're right.

That would be great news, fantastic signing (hopefully)

The suggestion is £50m combined spend

Sanchez £31m
Debuchy £11m
Remy £8m

so thats a Sagna replacement, striker and winger

looks good, if it all happens, no?

Remy seems surplus to me if we get the other two.

Still need a back-up GK and CD plus a top-knotch DM though

Great quote from Alexis Sanchez yesterday..."I am delighted to be joining Arsenal. I look forward to finishing fourth and joining Manchester City next season"

Not convinced about khedira. He likes to play too far forward for his skill set and doesn't gave a good enough range of passing.

Think Arsenal are making some very good signings this season.  Far better than last year and it'll definitely improve the side, as well as getting the injured players back in the team.

A meaningless result this afternoon in many ways, but can't be a bad thing either. Most pleasing.

And ANOTHER Trophy in that bulging cabinet.

At the risk of sounding like one of those doom-monger chappies:

There was one slightly disturbing snippet of news that I saw today although it was only from one source, suggesting that Laurent Koscielny's half-time substitution was because of what was described as a "slight achilles problem" which triggered mental alarm-bells.

I dearly hope that it's either not true or not severe as we are now a little thin in CD with Per not yet back and the verminator now history, so losing Kos could be a big blow.

Chambers and Nacho did okay in the second half today but I would have concerns if they were our first choice pairing for our opening games of the season.
