Decent debut by Wellbeck, feels like Arse are gonna be more competitive this year but old failings still there at times

Take that all day long.

Showed some heart against a top team, which makes a nice change.

Was a very enjoyable game for the neutral. I thought Arsenal's goals were excellent.

Did seem you were a bit too easy to open up at the back, although I suppose you were playing against Man City who just have daft attackers.

My sauces say that Matt Debuchy will be out for weeks rather than months.

Hope they're correct.

Tbh we're lucky Chambers turned out to be somewhat of a revelation. There's just the one defensive injury and we're down to bare bones all of a sudden. Hopes resting on Kos and Mert staying totally injury and suspension free while also playing 90 minutes of every weekday and weekend game.

Was this really the plan? Because everyone knew Vermaelen was leaving this summer from the first day of the window.

Very good. Great engine and commitment.

The biggest compliment I can pay him is that we've not missed Sagna at all.

Hadn't even noticed him in seasons before as only really watch the top half.

Looks really good to me, fits right in to the Arsenal style, composed in possession and more of an attacking threat than Sagna - probs on a par as a defender too. Love his attitude and energy, not bad looking either

what do you put the disappointing defending of corners/headers down to?

mertesacker is massive, koscielny experienced yet yesterday Man C had three unmarked players from the corner for the equalising goal

last season clean sheet after clean sheet, this season look vulnerable to balls thrown into the box, which they will be in any game

Giroud has been key in defending set-pieces, especially corners.

That's the only thing that springs to mind other than our general lack of height apart from Per who is not as dominant aerially as his size might suggest.
