Obviously it goes without saying, but Sanchez is bloody good. I do hope we get him to sign a new contract. Looks as if he loves playing for us too.

I honestly think he will stay especially if Ozil renews as looks likely.

Barca let Alexis go and RM are transfer-embargoed for a while so what better options does he have?

Meanwhile back in the present who's going be first on MOTD?

The MOTD running order: ManC/Che, WHU/Ars, Tot/Swa, CP/Sou, Sun/Leo, WBA/Wat, Sto/Bur. marvellous show with 27 goals. @BBCOne

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/12/07/arsenal-willing-sell-mesut-ozil-does-not-lowerwage-demands/

Apparently Ozil currently earns £7.2m a year while Sanchez gets £6.7m and they are both asking for £20m a year. The article reckons the club would sanction £15m for one of them but not both.

Interested to hear which one the fans would offer the £15m to?

Really?

As an outsider, Ozil always goes first before Sanchez no?

£400k a week?  Wish them well collecting it in China and call their bluffs.

I'm looking at it from purely a football perspective, not considered the various financials. Ozil is great but Sanchez is different gravy and one of the few PL players I wish we had at City.

Arsene Wenger's contract is up this summer and his future might well have a significant bearing on whether Ozil and Alexis decide to stay.

Many people seem to be forgetting how much his players love to play for him.

Really glad we drew Bayern. If we get knocked out leaves us less games which is good for the league, or if we win it knocks out a tough competitor and leaves us open to having a decent run in the CL for once. May as well get the tough game now rather than draw Leverkusen and risk injuries or fatigue before getting knocked out anyway.

Exactly, on our way to the final in 2006 we beat Juve and RM. There is no such thing as an easy path to the final.

I didn't realise Szczesny was still an Arsenal player

Do you think he'll ever play for them again?

He's done really well for Roma by all accounts and they may have an option for a permanent move after this season.

So probably not. I have always had a soft spot for the mad bastard though.

Same old Arsenal. That soft underbelly exposed again last night.

I don't expect us to win the league this season. With the exception of Sanchez, whilst we have a talented team how many of them are winners and will put their bodies on the line for the team.
