I still prefer letting him punt it. Degenerate gamblers are usually only one lucky break from being professional gamblers anyway.

What's the thoughts on his original punting thread? Where his in running totals made up or fabricated?
He did seem to be very knowledgeable on the Tennis but i suppose so did Blatch on his thread
I hope the lad gets his problems sorted out.

Hi Guys,
as the threads locked I wanted you to get a message out to everyone who has sent money. Ryan was arrested last night, his parents have control of all the money that has been transfered to his account.
He's going to find it hard to get to the net now.
etc. etc.

Knowledgeable in tennis, bad at gambling- not the worst combo for staking
Loads of excellent judges of various sports out there but huge gambling problems in other stuff so they are unable to punt
Only same as good poker player with gambling problem, still decent investment opportunity

Send it all to me and I will start a similar thread on tennis matches with a few volleyball games thrown in.

His tennis knowledge is top draw, I think this might of worked with someone watching the account, but obviously if the guy needs to get away from an addiction then its better for him that this doesn't go ahead. BTW he never asked for staking we greedy fckers wanting to take advantage of his knowledge suggested it

Really sorry guys, this is mostly my fault.
Sometimes I'm a real mug.

Me too, I piled in pdq behind you, & maybe others took the lead from that. You can be a bigger mug than me if you like, but I'm a bit older, so have less excuse.
In poker, I used to call them "MOM's" - "moments of madness".
I hope the lad sorts himself out, & as your very first post on the subject (in "Tips for tikay") wisely noted, "if we get our shirts lifted, so be it". Which is fine for you & me, but not so much, perhaps, for others.
Kudos to Mr Shallow, too. Some wise words from that semi-retired degen.

hey i wanted in so fast i didnt bother to step back and look at the clues, i genuinely like the guy, i dont think he had any intention to grim us, and i hope he gets the help he needs, after this last week i now know what the feeling of gambling is like its a massive rush and i think most of us as only one life changing incident away from becoming a problem gambler
chit thats worded badly but i am still half asleep

Bugger, what a caper that turned out to be. If it was a long con all along then he worked bloody hard on it. If he has had a rush of blood and snap decided to try and grim us then i hope the law(if that bit is true) aren't too severe on him.
Sounds like the guy needs help more than anything.

I don't think this is the case. People offered him money yesterday, he didn't ask for it.....

Hang on, is the suggestion that he's been arrested for this thread/grimming?
I assumed he was arrested for something unrelated.

That is my assumption too. Nothing to do with this
