I am 100% sure C has to pay the fine in this country unless they are under 16 and then they are the drivers responsibility

I thought this.

If i get pulled by the fuzz and all my passengers dont have belts on do i get stumped with the lot? Pretty sure its ur own responsibility if your over 16.

You should probably know the answer to that Girgy Cheesy  I'd definately find out if you're not 100% sure!

When you don't need to wear a seat belt

You don't need to wear a seat belt if you're:

a driver who is reversing, or supervising a learner driver who is reversing
in a vehicle being used for police, fire and rescue services
a passenger in a trade vehicle and you're investigating a fault
driving a goods vehicle on deliveries that is travelling no more than 50 metres between stops
a licensed taxi driver who is 'plying for hire' or carrying passengers

covers me.

http://www.lawontheweb.co.uk/Road_Traffic_Law/Seat_Belts

Adult passengers (ie 14 years and over)    Seat belt MUST be worn if available.    Seat belt MUST be worn if available.    Passenger responsible.

almost. passenger is classed as an adult and responsible for wearing a seatbelt once they hit 14

so girgs would be fined for a 13 year old not wearing one in his cab but not a 14 yo

of course. assume you also check the height of kids under 14 to see if they should be using a booster seat or not
