Keep it to two days pls. It's not always that easy to get a day off at short notice and that extra day will put people off.

PLS PLS PLS do not wind the clock back to keep the ave at 25 bigs. People just nit it up! The final should have proved that. Poker should reward some sort of aggression not just two people waiting to get it in with AK vs QQ.

Any form of tourney poker will eventually become push/fold esp when players are basically playing their cards.

The only thing I would advocate is making the antes even bigger. This eliminates the short stacks quicker and makes the tourney ave deeper. I believe this is what WSOP events do

I'm with G2L with this. Monday final would stop me from entering also.

+1 on the hating the Monday idea.

Awesome tourney, shame Rob's blog says it's not happening next month as i can't make the UKIPT Notts and if i go to Ireland again too soon i'll come back with liver failure.

officer trumper studying every tourney for what? to find out the best structure to keep people on average stack for the longest. I blame these £20 deepstack 10k stack tournies. People just wanna pay their score and sit down as long as possible, back in the old days like 02-08 a £100-£200 freez would be like 3k chips and play like a dream at the end when it mattered. make the deepstack 5k chips and there you go solved.

5k chips 25/25  25/50 50/100 75/150 100/200 (25)
[20:56:55] The Claimer: then like  150/300 (25)
[20:57:03] The Claimer: 200/400
[20:57:10] The Claimer: 200/400 (50
[20:57:16] The Claimer: 250/500
[20:57:18] The Claimer: 300/600
[20:57:23] The Claimer: 350/700
[20:57:41] The Claimer: 400/800 (75)

1 hour levels etc...

that would be the best structure that plays the best when it matters but would never
be implemented because people inexplicably think there is a positive correlation between starting chip stack and a skilled deep tourney and would not turn up

I know they want numbers, but I feel the amount of satilites is excessive?

25k starting stack. 45 Minute Clock
Day One Muilti Entry and BuyIn's available for first 5 levels not 9hours in!!
Day One 12-14 Levels
Antes kick in much earlier and increase more rapidly.

Maybe?

Ffs what are you all moaning at. 1 month the deepstack finished at 4.30 am because an unusually high amount of players went through to day 2 due to a massive field Saturday, an unusually high 3rd of the field went through from friday and the blinds being rolled back to give more play added another couple of hours. There ain't a lot wrong with it and most of you are moaning for moaning sake. I reckon this dtd deepstack competition in terms of buy in, value and playability could be just about one of the best in the world. If there is a better one I've not heard about it.

Lol shot down in flames then Trigg. I thought the $1k events were meant to be crap shoots but admit you may well be right. Simon is pretty good with the structures and timings but the fact of the matter is that they are structured to be finished within a certain time and if an influx of unexpected players suddenly shows up then the comp is gonna run on a little longer. Dtd certainly were not expecting the numbers and did an excellent job at drafting more dealers in at only a few minutes notice. They only required a reserve list for a while until those dealers got into work. From mid afternoon till mid night on the Saturday I would say that of the 40 or so tables in the club i never saw more than 3 tables not in use. The place was heaving and that takes some staffing. All these numbers of players just astounds me especially as Dtd were in direct competition with with LVTC this month and the new tour at star city last month. Dtd is obv doing something because they are attracting the numbers and appealing to the masses and not pampering to the whims of the elite few.
