Jake's first ever school report arrived home today.
21 A's and 5 B's.
Every subject he got A for effort!
In her final comments his teacher said "Thank you Jake for making the last 2 years so enjoyable"
Pretty proud with all that!

It's my first night at home for a week as my lad had major bowel surgery on Monday, and its only now he's feeling reasonably ok to be left a while. Hopefully out in a few days
Anyway, after the eight hour op he's wheeled into the recovery unit where his Mum and I are waiting
After 20 minutes or so he is half awake and groggy. He turns to me and says, his first words..
"Sorry Dad, I'm not going to be very good company"
Not sure I can adequadely describe the emotions, but "Proud" can cover it
