Adam Daniel is out

Amazingly, in Level 4 and 30,000 starting he is out holding an eight and a four

Daniel called in position after a limper then a raiser with 8-4

The Anon with whom he tangled earlier 3 bet the big blind with A-Q

All three limper/raisers call

A-10-4

Checked to Daniel who bet, A-Q calls

10 turn

checked to Daniel who shoves, and he's called by top two pair

Sometimes you just scratch your head,

Terry Mitford 800 at 150-300 UTG

Karl Grogan calls

Jamie Moult 2,100 in the cut off

Peter Meldrum 7,000 on the button

back to Mitford who makes it 15,000

All the effective stacks 30-35k here

Grogan and Moult fold

Meldrum calls

So we have a 110x bb pot here

  Two Diamonds

Mitford open shoves

Meldrum snaps him off

With

Mitford stands up, exclaims the exclamation of exclaimer of the year and shows

Ace-Nine holds, and Meldrum is our chipleader.

A big pot develops between Peter Thorpe, Adam Daniel and Anon

The board reads  Two Diamonds

16,000 in the middle and I arrive as Anon bets 7,000 on the river when checked to

Thorpe passes after a ponder

Daniel tells him "I don't know what you are thinking about, you haven't even got a pair"

Daniel tells Anon "Have you got the Jack then? I've got Aces, can you beat Aces?"

No reply

Daniel sigh calls, mucking when shown

Thorpe had Kings here

Thorpe checked the turn

Daniel 1,200, Anon calls

Thorpe c-raise to 3,300

Daniel calls

Anon calls

then the action as above

George Bedi opens to 925

Peter Thorpe calls

Orlando Anderson calls on the button

the Anon chip leader who stacked Adam Daniel makes it 3,600 in the big blind

Bedi folds

Thorpe and Anderson call

 two spades

Anon 10,000

Thorpe shove for 17,375

Anderson fold

Anon call

Thorpe "I hope my read is right or else I am in trouble" and shows

Anon

That would be a wrong read then

turn and river and Anon, luckily for me (not) is now chip leader with comfortably over 100,000

I wander past table Peejay to see that his stack has increased considerably to over 50,000

I raise an eyebrow

Carla Goddard shoots me a look that says in no uncertain terms that I am not to enquire of her what happened

Luckily before I take my life into my own hands, Peejay volunteers that he had "a royal flush draw"

Carla "he got sooooo lucky"

Peejay "no I didn't. I hit a flush"

Carla down to about 12,000
