I absolutely love my first day in Vegas.

Always wake up early after a good kip, when Vegas is at it quietest and cleanest. It is almost serene at 6am.

Because I'm so skinto atm, made a concious decision not to do any staking this year.

Only weakened twice. Once for Stuart Rutter who put up an amazing value package, and once for Primo, I had just backed a winner, he's a great player and a good kid.

And it was a very sweet start to the trip for him to snare second for a approx $4500 payday for me.

No doybt he'll be gutted he didn't win the bracelet, but having been on the wrong end of two coolers v Negreanu and Eames, he did great to battle back for the silver medal.

Sure a bracelet is in his future if he sticks at the game.

It must a good omen for Rutter too!

Quiet day today. Just off to the Rio to buy in for tomorrow. No poker. (Hopefully no craps or blackjack either!) Plenty of lounging by the pool and we are off to see Love at the Mirage tonight.

Only weakened twice thrice Tongue

Are you planning on playing any cash Keith or just chilling in between tournaments?

Best of luck for the trip, hoping for some Camel-induced shoes-off action!

we are off to see Love at the Mirage tonight.

Saw it last month and thought it was excellent.  There's so much going on that it'd probably need multiple viewings to spot everything.

I also recommend Absinthe at Caesars.  A mixture of comedy and some CirqueDS-type acts.

That kid you backed was on my table on day 1, the whole table was having great fun chatting away etc sharing jokes. He sat there wearing a cap with a hoody over the top of it, over sized sunglasses and headphones over the top of his hood. He was the only player at the table wearing a sponsors logo, they must be delighted with the selection

How do you know it was a sponsor? He could just be wearing a badge for a friend, bit like I do for Karl Smiley

What's wrong with not engaging in table banter?

Sunglasses is the only thing there that tilts me.

Yup, saw Absinthe last year.

Highly recommended by me too, surprised health and safety haven't closed it down tbh!

Have actually seen Love before. But want to let Jake have the chance of seeing it. He'll love it I'm sure.

If I'm in a cash game, you should jump straight in. If I had half the money I've lost lifetime playing cash games, I'd have a lot more money than I have now!

Days off from tournaments will be mostly chilling out, possibly a bit of SMG action. Those sats are super weak in my experience.

He's a really good kid, believe me. Just takes poker very seriously atm.

As he matures a bit, his personaity will start to emerge from behind the hoogie and sunglasses.

Nah, not much. Playing a bit of Pai Gow or Blackjack when I'm pissed or a bit tilted.

Dice is the only game I ever crack up on. Steering clear if the craps table is my number one priority.
