I don't think the 30 minute clock and option of 40k in starting chips compensates for the missing levels and it ended up being a shove fest anyway. I know that for this to be a one day event, the structure needs to force the action at some point; but in terms of gameplay for the player it sucks to chip up and preserve chips for so many hours only to have to open shove your hard work all in due to the pressure of the blinds and antes.
Saying that, I'm aware the game last night still lasted too long. I went out in 41st at 00.30. I'm a fan of the earlier kick-offs on a Saturday. I know we can't have it all but personally I'd suggest fewer chips and not missing certain levels. What I
think
this does, is increase the rate of which players go out in the early stages and stagnates the rate of which players fall in the later stages. I think this gives the opportunity for the people who aren't going to make the later stages on the day, the chance to dust off their chips quicker and then the people who remain the chance to play a slightly slower game later when the decisions are more important around the bubble and through the money jumps.
I may be wrong, this was just a quick thought from my observations last night; I'm sure DTD will eventually optimise as they know how with trail and error, as they did with the double deepstack structures for 2 day events, which is pretty much perfect now.

i was pretty card dead for most of the night but found plenty of spots to win pots without showdowns in this field. I gave noticed quite a few glitches in the software that is set up automatically for the comps.
Think Simon is aware of some but examples are
1. Antes more than 10% of big blind. Eg 1k/2k ante 300
2. Too many paid out eg £500 paid 27 & £150 paid 36 when the difference in field size was 30 runners.
3. Payouts wrong. 27-19 = £200 18 = £455 17-14 = £480 13-11 = £506 is clearly wrong and not thought out.
It did develop onto a shove fest which suited me as it was quite easy to pick up on light opens. I got lucky shoving in late position with A6 only to find some one with AK just after the bubble burst. First card was a king but running 6's came to my rescue. The guy took it ok put spite called my shove on the money jump bubble at 14 left with Q9 and spiked a 9

I didn't mind that 27 got paid, but yeah I did notice that it was more than the normal. It should be somewhere between 10% and 15% of the players playing in the field and the reloads should not make any difference to it.

Hi All
We have made a few changes and its slipped over the 15% on this occasion, we are working on it so hopefully will have it ready for the new year event.
cheers Nick
