Dear DTD cash game club players, following a study of our cash game stats over the last 4 weeks and discussions with regular cash game players, you will be pleased to hear (from this Monday) that we have reduced and simplified our cash game rake at the Club, we will now only rake in £1 increments with the rake taken ranging from 2.6% to a maximum of 5%.  There is no rake for no flop pots, split pots (except hi-low games) and all pots less than £20. All details on this link http://www.dusktilldawncasinonottingham.com/cashgames.php for limits and rake, please share with any cash game players at the Club. These changes will result in a decrease in rake take in all game buy hopefully we will get an uplift to offset these reductions. Cheers ACES

DTD Club Tourney players - from next week we will be returning to our previous system of deducting 10% from the prizepool instead of charging up front registration fees on tournaments. We strongly feel that this system is best for the huge majority of DTD players resulting in cheaper buy ins for all our comps, especially our lower buy ins, (eg. XXL 15 is £15 inclusive, XXL 25 is £25 inclusive and Super 50 is now £50 instead of £50+£8). We expect the Club to be worse off revenue wise in the short term - unless we get an uplift in player numbers (eg. 10% of £5K prizepool for a super 50 is £300 less than 100 x £8 reg fees) as we will still need to hit the same number of players to make our GTD prizepools BUT we believe the return to this pricing method benefits the overall long term ecology of the club over 52 weeks - by keeping more money in the majority of our players pockets. I have discussed this with all levels of players and recognise that some of the pros players /repeat winners do prefer the existing system but I feel this works better for our DTD business model which is mostly targeted at the majority/recreational player base. Here is next weeks schedule reflecting this return to our previous system. Cheers Aces

Hi Guys, I am getting a lot of questions about the flexibility of the new online satellites that started on Monday. Just to be clear;

1. Players who win a £250 seat can use this as part or full payment for ANY Dusk Till Dawn tournament including third party events such as UKIPT, Sky etc that have a buy-in of £250 and above, players can win as many seats as they want and have 120 days to use the seat.

2. Players who win a £1100 UKIPT seat must use their 1st seat won for the UKIPT £1M, any £1100 seats won after that can be used as full or part payment for ANY Dusk Till Dawn including third party events such as UKIPT, Sky etc that have a buy-in of £250 and above, players can win as many seats as they want and have 120 days to use the seat.

"Dear Local Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club players, as per your many requests to me personally and the staff, particularly Maria on reception...

.we will open 6.30pm from next Monday, with evening comps starting at 7pm, with late reg will 9pm.

I have looked at the numbers over the last 4 weeks, and only 6% of players arrive between 9pm and 10pm, so this should hopefully keep the majority happy and mean an earlier finish for those who need to get up for work in the morning.

I am a bit nervous to do this - because we are averaging 120+ for these evening comps since opening 7 days but without doubt, this is what players want us to try rather than reduce the clock/chips.

It's not easy to give players the perfect 'evening comp' experience at DTD because we get 3/4 times the number of players than most local casino card rooms, so something does have to give.

 Cheers ACES"

Hi guys and gals,

Just a reminder about the 6.30pm openings on weekday evenings. Comps now start at 7pm.

You may even see me in passing now. Think I'll give one of these XXL15's a go in a week or so.

Can count the amount of times I've played live poker on one hand in the last 6 months.

just a thought re the earlier starts, Mon-Thurs are mainly locals games but Friday folks come from further afield (or at least it appears that way, I may be wrong)  the traffic is usually bad and they don't have the pressure of having to finish early to be at work in the morning   Smiley

Just a reminder that from this week, all evening comps now start at 7pm with late reg at 9pm, last nights XXL 15 finished at 2.45am which is a step in the right direction, obviously this time change will not have filtered through to all our evening customers (we have 10,000 XXL players!), so I have asked the card room to be "flexible" if someone turns up and was clearly not aware of the time change to late reg (I can assure you that not everyone has online access etc). Please bear with us during this transition stage. I know it's frustrating for those players that do turn up on time, and we will be strict after next week, I think 14 days is enough time for everyone to get to know. Thanks for your understanding Cheers ACES

Why has it moved places?

Also, are there still plans to have a new cash game promo, or was it shelved?
