I was pretty bored at work. I made a page: www.justgiving.com/50pence

Put your money where your bad-beat is. No matter how bad you have it someone is having it worse! We also tend to forget to give to charity unless it is right in front of us so we need gentle reminders!

Save up your owed 50pences and give them together if you like. It's super fast once you are registered.

Spledid thinking, & I don't want AT ALL to pour cold water on a lovely idea, but.......

Were you aware that "Just Giving" CHARGE charities for donations?

"....It’s completely free to fundraise for, or donate to, a charity through JustGiving. We charge charities £15 per month, plus a small 5% fee on each donation....."

Yes well aware but are you aware that a tv campaign costs hundreds of thousands, a chugging campaign maybe £25 per signup... All fundraising has costs! Infact one of my biggest gripes is that the charity sector is such a huge employer! But these things need people, full time people, to be run.

But I just checked out virgin and that's only 2% so I guess I'll open a page there Cheesy http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/giving/about-us/fees.jsp They weren't around when I first started using justgiving...

No worries, it's just that......

1) So few people realise this.

2) Many blondes are naturally suspicious of charities, as we got badly stung a few years ago.

Virgin charge 2% do they?

And yes, I'm aware that TV Campaigns cost money.

I really find the whole concept of these "Charity Pages" a bit hard to come to terms with, but I guess if they help make charity donations easier, & more plentiful, it is a net gain, & good.

On blonde, incidentally, we formally only allow bona-fide "Registered charities" to Post, though I'm sure "Just Giving" is street legal in that respect.

Good luck Sir.
