I busted the 3k in level 6, got up to 18k from 9k started had an incred table, which broke in level 5 and then had a really tough/aggro table and busted cold 4b/calling 60bbs with AK and lost to KK, although wasn't loving it, with the action/dynamic I can't really fold. Bit disappointed, 740k ftw!

Cash - played some 2/5 at the venetian - was in a reggy game for a while waiting for a seat on Deadman's table which was mental apparently. I was breaking even then when I got the table move, I doubled up in a 2.1k pot within 5 minutes!

There was this joker chinese guy who was splashing about a lot, he says "straddle straddle it's your straddle dude", I say "I'll straddle if everyone's straddling, are you straddling?" he says "they aren't but I am", I hesitate, the cards are being dealt and he takes the $10 off my stack and puts it in. Go on then.

He raises to $35, and there's 2 or 3 callers, I peak down at and make it $140. He moves allin for about $1200 and it folds round and I call pretty happily expecting to be in good shape most of the time. I say "you gotta good hand", he giggles and says "No", the board runs out 8538K and I win. Yay.

An hour later the rest of the team show up and we go for a ridic meal in the Venetian, ordered the Duck which was an awful choice, everyone had really tender looking steaks, Shola had the Lobster. Luckily Helen didn't eat all of her steak so I had some of that, but still felt a bit shit paying $120 for a meal (which is the most I've ever spent on a meal not including losing flips obv) which I didn't enjoy.

The banter thoughwas first class, we were all pissing ourselves laughing all night, really fun time.

We're in our apartment now. It's a $15 cab ride from the strip - it is nice but there's so many little things wrong with it it's really making me wish I'd stayed in a hotel on the strip. And the way we were treated by the company over the first few days was completely atrocious and nothing short of criminal in my mind.

Gonna play cash or maybe a $600 venetian deepstack or two over the next day or two, and get some shopping done. I fishily only brought two hoodies with me, thinking that it was the desert but all the poker rooms are freezing!

Mitch bust the 3k in level 3 I think, not winning a pot, getting owned by Jeff Schulman and then getting his bowl in with AK vs AJ and losing. Deadman bust the 2500 venetian before the money, but we both won about $1200 on cash.

So the trip is going OK so far, breaking even/covering expenses would be a great result imo!

Me, Simon and Shola played the Venetian deepstack today. Obv only Shola made day two.

It's a great comp, extremely soft field, great structure, $600 buyin and got 350 runners today, with 43k ish ftw. Think it happens most days so definitely gonna play more of those.

I had quite a tilting day - cruising along, built a really big stack, had about 3.5x average. Then lost a big pot with AK vs 92 on A529Q which was annoying. He 3bet me pre as well and I just flatted since we both had over 200bbs. Pretty cold runout.

I busted raising 55 out of 30bbs, einsteins in the blinds peel me with K6cc and J8cc and we get the action fantastic 875ccx board and we get it in for a 3x average pot, and they both turn flushes. And river another club just for rubs! Geeeg.

Lost 1.1k playing cash too, not been a great day!

I did run good in the dinner flip though, getting heads up and winning, meaning I get the buyout money so effectively I got paid $60 to eat! Sigh that it wasn't last nights steak joint! But that's certainly the limit to the run good so far.

No wins anywhere for team_eureka, further hassle with the apartments, the 2nd one is not ready yet and the owners havent answered their phones all day. So between us we have two beds. One set of clean sheets. We have one key to share and the security guards are ridic strict and you have to answer loads of questions before they let you in if you don't have a key. It's beyond tilting.

Seriously considering just going onto the strip and staying in the Wynn or somewhere instead. Quite wanna be on the strip anyway so might just suck it up and flick it in. Wish I wasn't in the hole otherwise would be there already!

If the tourny didn't go well yesterday, I don't know how to describe today's cash grind.

Lost AA<QQ aipf early to set the tone, before a series of other cold ones. Main disaster was having 6d8d on 238 8 board lose to JJ for ~2.5k pot at the Venetian.

Decided to go for a change of scenery and headed to the bellagio, where the card room was packed full, with lots of big games running. Managed to play a 5 hour session at 5/10 without ever being actually value betting a hand. Nice hole to get working out of for the rest of the trip. Excellent

That work won't be started 2moro, got big plans for England game, which will hopefully run through to a table at XS at night.

Had a nice Chinese in NYNY with Keys, Keith n Helen b4 going to see the zoomanity cirque show. Was decent fun, some good acrobatics, tricks etc and lots of tits on show. Was a bit ott gay in areas, which Keith was dribbling at, but not my cup of tea. not anywhere near 'O' standards, but was ok.

Like alex says, tilting to still be messing round with apartment, really has gone on too long. Ours is fine now but the whole 1key thing is a pain. When we will get the next one, is anybody's guess.

LET'S GO ENGLAND; want the drinks to be celebratory, not commiserating.

Yeah security at Meridian are so tilting. Turned up in a taxi with a suitcase on the first day I was staying there - no way to get in contact with lildave and my name wasn't there at the desk so I had to get back into another taxi to Aria to use the free wifi to call dave and even then when he was there too after collecting the keys it was still a battle to let us in again.

In fairness they are just doing their job. They get a lot more lenient once they get to know you/see you around a lot.
