George, Keith and I are gonna spend the afternoon relaxing in the spa of the wynn. Went down to get some food and queue for the buffet was too long and the other options looked a bit shit so we just sat in a cash game for a bit and ordered food there.

Probably would've rathered queue up for the buffet tbh since I lost $1700 in less than 2 hours Sad

Lost two big pots top pair+nfd vs two pair, missed then decided to try and push a gentleman off his medium pair on 7225 by check/raising the turn allin for $600 over his $100 bet. He called so quick that I was sure I was dead and he had 77 or 55 but no, he had 88, and turned his hand over in a "i've got you kid" manner like it was the nuts. It was of course, I couldn't hit my A or Q.

Awful play on my part of course, should never try and bluff these guys in Vegas. I don't mind it so much if he tank calls, but when he snaps my neck off it shows what an awful bluff it was if he's not even thinking about folding.

Must have the goods next time.

Was supposed to be a day off...

Mitchell Johnson and I have made Day 3 of the 90 minute clock yawnfest that is The Wynn Classic Main Event. 40 left, 25 paid, 146k for first.
but
It's not been overly well run and is definitely going to last a total of 4 days, when it was supposed to be 3, but hopefully the former will be the case for both of us!

The deep nature although a bit of a slog, has made for some interesting hands/dynamics, and average stack tomoro will be 170k, returning at 1200/2400, so still 75bigs ish.

Mitch has average and I've got about 210, so hopefully at least one of us can make a run.

In other news, the trips been going so well that we've had to start searching for bargains, and after losing the dinner flip, bowling for $1 a game seemed like too good an offer to refuse. (For me it was actually $5 as I had to buy a pair of skanky trainer socks from a vending machine)

Needless to say, we nailed it, all impressing ourselves and Keys will feel aggrieved (and probably unaccustomed) to come last with a whopping 112.  There's a pretty good chance this is a freak performance and we are just all really shit though. (we are)

Massively tilting day for me, chipped up steadily all day, and lost AA<KK aipf to have 4x average with 50 left. With the stucture being so good, was still in with a shout after that hand and managed to finish with an average stack, mostly helped by winning AK>AA aipf lateish on. Me n stato drawn on the same table 2moro, could be fun.

Few pics from the last week or so....

Great day yesterday. Started by winning 500 at cash. Then a spa day with Keith and Alex where we discussed many things mainly poker obv.

Then decided to see a show at planet Hollywood. Was pretty deece. However I did all my profit from earlier plus another 500 om table games which was pretty stupid but first big loss of the trip so didn't let it bother me too much. Then met up with the rest of the team to go to tgi Fridays at gold cost followed by a game of bowling where I recorded a personal best of 149 to win!

Got dropped off back at hurrahs for my last night there before moving to the palazzo. Obv had to play blackjack and craps where we managed to book a 600$ win to finish up overall for the day!

Just got to the palazzo where they have upgraded me to a suite for free because no other rooms are available! Also have free wifi access now so can do a lot more updates but more importantly can Skype the family which is amazing. Was great to see the them and it's all free!

Finally there's the small matter of day to of the 1k for me and Alex and day 3 for Mitch and any at the Wynn.

Meanwhile, George, Keith and I took  a day off from poker (well after that hideous lunchtime session) and spent the afternoon in the spa chilling in the jacuzzi and saunas which was cool, then we chilled out, met up with the others for dinner at Le Cave (awesome restaurant - 2nd visit in a row, probably favourite restaurant out there so far) and then we went to see Peep Show which was pretty entertaining. Enjoyed all the boobies.

George and I about to set off for day two of the 1k, GL to the boys in the Wynn main, big chance of a big score there imo.

This is my last tournament I'm playing, so last chance for a bracelet, last chance to get out of it, last chance for a flagggg!

I have to ask, and I'm not having a dig, why did any of you play The Wynn event? I thought it looked horrible.

I couldn't really understand why anyone played it. It seemed to be absolutely bursting with young internet pros from the UK. I'd venture to say it was as hard as any of the $5k events at the series and it didn't have the sprinkiling of mugs that the bracelet attracts. On top of that it lasted so long (is still lasting) that hourly rate wise it must have been a terrible decision. In that time you could have played three of the $500 Bellagio daily ones with re-entry and a bunch of toursits and seniors or gone to the Rio to play supers that are just getting good and run four times a day.

Like I say not having a dig, just wondering. There seemed a lot of really bright people at The Wynn.
