Hi

It's Lynne Beaumont (and James Browning). We finally flew in last night (Wednesday) and I just wondered if anyone had already done the slog of finding out where the best place is to exchange some pounds for dollars?

Is Flushy still selling dollars??

It's over 100 degrees here already... Phew. Life is tough...

Hi Lynne Hi James

Hope you're both well.  Can't help with the dollars directly, but if you hang about at the FT of the $3k shootout at the Rio tonight, Craig and/or Roberto might be selling dollars after that!  I would just ask around the brit contingent when you get there!  The casino cages will change £ sterling cash into $ and Ian says the rates aren't too bad.

We're coming out on Sunday for 2 weeks, staying at the Wynn.  Where are you staying?  Will you be playing the Ladies event at Caesars on Monday or Venetian on Tuesday?  Hope to see you there if so!

We are slumming it at the Imperial Palace for 10 days, then off to The Wynn for some luxury. Yes Michelle... Am playing some of the ladies' events so should see you next week. James isn't with me at the mo Flushy, he is catching up on sleep, so can I take your phone number or email address? Then James can sort it with you.

Thanks x

Just want to highlight an impressive deal currently being offered by Sainsburys Travel Money service.  You can order dollars in cash or travellers cheques online or instore and pay an additional £3.99 for their Buy Back Plus (fixed price irrespective of transaction value).  This gives you the ability to take any unused dollars (or dollars won in Vegas!) back to Sainsburys within 31 days of your original order date and they will buy them back from you at the same rate you paid for them, up to the value of the original transaction.

So as an example, I just collected $1530 which cost me just over £1000 at a rate of 1.5265 plus I paid the additional £3.99.  I have until 22nd July now to take up to $1530 back to Sainsburys and as long as I show them my transaction receipt they will buy these back from me at 1.5265.  Their usual buy back rate (as at today) is 1.73...so, let's say I have a decent win in Vegas and want to change back the full amount of $1530 when I return, they would normally only pay me £884 for them, but with the Buy Back Plus facility they will pay me £1002.29 for them.  Well worth the £3.99 punt when you buy the dollars!  I've checked the t&cs and small print and can't see any catches at all.

Hope this helps (if you haven't already set off to Vegas of course).

Michelle

Will you accept people doing an online £ bank transfer to your UK bank account and pick up the $ equivalent in Vegas.  We are talking of somewhere in the region of $5k.

I'm interested in changing a lot of $ back in to £. Will you do this way around as well? Looking for a large amount so a good rate for anything up to $200k?
