Not sure why anyone is surprised at this.

Marc truly believes he doesn't owe Lewis this money and has only reluctantly agreed to pay because everyone who has read those chat logs says he should.

He's hardly going to give up playing what he (and many other online players) thinks is the most prestigious tournaments of the year to pay a gebt he doesn't think he owes, is he?

WCOOP is a charade really, invented out of nothing by Pokerstars to become a rake creating monster. Hats off to them for making so many people fall for it!

I might start the Camel's Regional Annual Poker Series. And I'll award bracelets too!

I don't agree with what Marc has chosen to do, but it isn't very surprising is it?

I understand what you're getting at, but without things like the WCOOP playing online poker tournaments would be one long featureless grind.

People, rightly or wrongly, need big events to look forward to and back on. They need peaks and troughs. It's what makes life and work fun.

If I borrow 100 pounds off of someone then they ask for it back and I pay it back the debt is squared. If I then ask again a week later for another 100 pounds and the process repeats time and again for months on end...Does that person lending me the 100 pounds ever really own that 100 pounds!? Would seem to me that it is on a permanent loan that is of no benefit to the person lending it.

I just don't get the mentality of some people. If I owe someone money I am embarassed inside for the time I owe it to them and will make sacrifices to make sure they get it back.

Lender nor borrower be

On a lighter note, anyone remember at the start of every tournament he entered (even the WSOP main) Howard Plant used to stand up and at the top of his Voice shout, "I'm Howard Plant and I don't lend money"! Always best to state your position clearly IMO

If you owe money... you pay it.  If that means you have a reduced grind.. or you have to sat in to a few of them on the cheap.. then that's your  problem for owing money.  It isn't the other person's problem.  There are always going to be reasons why you "need it" - but the money belongs to someone else, not you.

That'd be crap.

Missed the acronym but speed read and initially thought it read Anal - which at times poker and the 'crap' surrounding it most certainly is.

Ive enjoyed blonde (even found an old cap scrounged from TK many years ago) for many years mainly serial lurking but some recent posts on varied subjects have left me with a jaundiced view of several contributors.

Hope its a passing phase  Sad
