There's a nice little feature on the Chess24 coverage that I only discovered today.

Hover your mouse over the computer analysis moves and a picture of the chess board pops up - it saves you visualizing it for yourself.

I only became aware of it because I follow him on Twitter.

This was a farly rare chess-related tweet as it's mostly politics with him.

Nice article.

What's your chess background? You're clearly well versed.

Dutch SuperGM, Anish Giri, discusses his game (briefly), Caruana's and Topalov's opening choices and the film SPECTRE:

Chess openings come in and out of fashion. People convince themselves  certain openings are unsound, then someone finds a move or wins a match with it and suddenly everyone is playing it. Currently, the black sheep is the Benoni.

Apologies for my part in this thread being rather unkempt of late. Here's a neat little piece, explaining how matches were played before computers and what incredible feats computers have conjured up in setting problems.

If you only look at one game this week, make it the Shirov masterpiece from the current Stockholm tournament.

Tempted to put NSFW next to it. I mean just wow.
