The thing stopping me doing this is that in one of Robs blogs he made note of the Dtd regulars who played Edinburgh and told the valets to pee in their tea

No, he didn't.

Play both? Plenty of people are already planning if they bust Stoke to then head to DTD.

Both great comps and a shame they clash. Would have to agree with a previous comment: the GPS comp is incredibly soft, would love to play them myself.

He might have had a look to see how many regs he lost to Edinburgh, I'd expect any business to do that, but just in case anyone takes your last comment seriously, no instructions would have been given to his staff!

Internet policed.

That would be a little bit of a defeatist attitude...? Wouldn't you rather pick one tournament and concentrate on winning...?

This would be similar to the whole rebuy scenario, people with deeper pockets taking more risks, with the "I could always buy back in if I bust attitude"

Things to bear in mind is the quality of the field, the structure amount of players value expected, ambiance etc etc...

Wait a minute do you think anyone is actually stupid enough to think that the valets would pee in the tea. Everyone knows that's Simons job

I dont want to be seen as stiring it up, however you guys have to seriously consider the genting tournament.  It is SUPER slow with a horribly soft field and it has been smashing the gtd.

I played Leg2 in London and did well but couldn't go too deep due to raise/ folding <77 all day 2.

I know dtd is solid and I play there as much as possible, however with the loss of the regular 500 (our fault, not enough runners) it gets closer imo.

Im unable to play the genting day 1 so I will be at dtd, but for those of you with a choice DO NOT underestimate how good those gentig comps are.
must be two start days for genting tho as they are filling the venues and then some. Please reconsider the Genting tour, I reckon I could have a wip round from Dtd regs and get you 2 bullets on a free roll from all the Dtd players that would rather you were in stoke Smiley

ouch/ serious? Tongue

Lol. Not for me mate. Having you on my table verbally and physically abusing players would be the nuts. Much prefer your company than the strong silent types

I just hate it when people kept saying the comp there is soft ,
the comp over there r softer but they never win f**koff !!! There's never
a soft comp anywhere in this country or around the world. They may b s
few bad players but defo no soft comp. Trust me, if there's soft comp everyone
will b there but there's never one. All poker pros will never go broke!

It's a tough one.

I didn't have any plans to play at Stoke until Ken (TopTen) mentioned he has won a seat and will be playing it, so I will be having a one or two pops at the sats as I know I will have some company and a lift up there. I won't be breaking the bank to play this as for £100 more you can play the £500k GTD later in month, so I know where the value is.

If I satty in and bust Stoke, I will go to Nottingham to player later on or next day.

If I don't satty in at all, I might just not bother playing at all or if I do, it will be Nottingham. I won't be buying in at Stoke for £430.

I can't see Stoke making much more than the guarantee after what DTD have done, at the end of the day you're saving £200 and playing for same amount.

Also, not sure why DTD have decided to match the guarantee with lower buy in if I am honest. Not sure why they would want to compete, but *shrug* it's upto them.

I Genting that good to make this a question? I will have to check that card room out.

If it is a question of wanting to play at that card room to see what it is like play Stoke.

For every other imaginable reason play at DTD

Ha ha ha.... My brother from another mother you are dead right as usual. On Sunday I must have heard people's play get slagged off half a dozen times by these so called experts who said the comp was soft. Every man and his dog knows you can't bluff idiots and these experts still try. Sunday super 50 was a perfect example of the cream rising to the top and 3 awesome players doing what they do. Smiley

Whilst you are here can you give me your thoughts on Triple range merging Frankie
