APAT.

Reason: Fixed Limit Seven Card Stud Tournament Smiley
Also: PLO

I may be the only man in a 50 mile radius under 25 who is ecstatic for fixed limit poker and non holdem games, but that doesn't stop me from promoting them! Stud is a fantastic and highly situational game for tournament poker due to gradually increasing stakes and antes from the very beginning and upcards constantly changing starting hand values. Many complain that fixed limit games are slow and complicated, yet there is no need to think about bet size, only the right action, CHECK or BET, or RAISE, CALL, or FOLD. The hands move faster, not slower, and there is a lot of action due to the large size of the pot vs the small size of the bets

Get involved!!!

APAT is at DTD with possibly the best tourney team in the UK

Goliath is, I believe, played in a hotel function room, with a bunch of dealers uprooted fromn their homes and dumped in Coventry for the week.

Both clash with Leeds Festival so neither is an option to be considered in favour of The Foos, The Cure and a weekend of mud and mayhem

Here is the APAT schedule

The European Championship of Amateur Poker will take place at Dusk Till Dawn between August 24th and 27th.

Aug 24 – ECOAP European Amateur Team Championship – day 1 – £100 + £10 per player

Aug 24 – ECOAP Stud Championship – £50 + £5

Aug 25 – ECOAP European Amateur Team Championship – final day

Aug 25 – ECOAP Six-Max Championship – £50 + £5

Aug 26 – ECOAP European Amateur Poker Championship – day 1 – £100 + £10

Aug 27 – ECOAP Omaha Championship – £50 + £5

Aug 27 – ECOAP European Amateur Poker Championship – final day

Availability for the events; see www.apat.com/forum, or ask APAT on here and they will respond

Like last year, a lot of people will play part of both, this year its slightly easier as the clash of dates is less intense.
Goliath starts earlier than the APAT main for example.

I stand corrected - my comment was based on what I had been told by someone who had played it though.
Where is it played?

GCasino Cov.

DTD is always my prefered venue, but it's good to get out on the road every now and again to keep it fresh.

DTD will have available seats over the counter from midweek

I'll ask one of the guys to pop on here and give you the numbers left for each event
