I thought someone might bring this one up. We had a similar minor debate about Stuart McCall being non-Scottish a few seasons back. Pretty murky area but I consider the country you represent to be your nationality. Half the Scottish national team are born in England!

What's everyone's thoughts on that?

Agree, country you represent, not where you're born. Although I'd be harsher and base it on parents - I disagree with players switching nationality such as Deco and Eduardo.
