9 yards short. Incredible performance. Great finish to that game, too.

Houston's loss takes them from 1st to 3rd.

Roll on the playoffs!

Playoffs?

Game of the day is still to come tonight!!

The colts kick return is one of the most absurd things I've seen in the NFL. The guy runs 101 yards in a straight line from end zone to end zone.

How the heck does that happen?

I don't think it's actually possible to overuse the Jim Mora quote!

Anyone got any thoughts on the Houston/Cincy matchup?

When I looked at the games, I identified this as the most likely upset.

But I was stunned at the line.. I expected 7 or maybe as high as 9.

Opened 4.5, immediately dropped to 4.

Now, I'm thinking this looks like value for Houston.

Pretyt much exact same thinking as you really.  I layed 4 last night and was surprised it hasnt moved up significantly.  On the other side I was pretty surprised Baltimore were nearly a TD fave over Indy.  Thought that would be closer to 3.5/4.

Cincy defence is absolutely brutal, their pass rush is second to none.

And I'm a long time hater. They could definitely get the W.

The most high profile college games of the year (BCS bowls) start tonight with the Rose Bowl and Orange Bowl. Sugar bowl is tomorrow night, fiesta bowl on Wednesday and the National Championship game next Monday.

Tbh the games aren't great this year with a lot of clear favourites but this is the pinnacle of College football and there is a lot of history and tradition to the games.

The best matchup is probably the Fiesta with Oregon playing Kansas State, both teams score lots of points and have only lost 1 game each.

Have actually preferred the NFL over College this season which is a first in the last few years. Best college game for me was Jonny Football (hot gf as well)and the Aggies winning at Alabama. Both Kansas St & Oregon had a shot for the title game, guess Notre Dame has been very lucky this year but I can't see them getting past Alabama.

There was a 1 point safety in last nights Fiesta bowl! Tick that off the list of things I have never seen before in American football.

Hadn't heard of that rule before, seems a little unfair if I understand correctly. Happened once before in 2004 in a Texas game. Be a bit sick to loose a game by a point in those circumstances. Anyway does anyone think that Notre Dame have a chance against Bama? Could Bama beat the Chiefs!

Every ex-player, analyst, etc who's opinion I respect always speak in similar terms.  The best college teams would be a 20-30pt dog against the worst NFL teams.

The skill positions might well be similarly matched, but the college team would be outmatched heavily on the O and D lines.

It seems a reasonable enough assessment to me, given that a college team might have 1 or 2 linemen on each side of the ball who make it in the NFL.  By default the pro-team is full of them.

As for the importance of these positions, I give you exhibit A, the 2012 Philadelphia Eagles!
