Darren Murphy has been pretty busy on Matt Russell's table, raising every hand in position, so much so that when it folds round to him on the cut-off and he folds there is an audible gasp from the other players.

Fidel Burton, Castro's brother, takes full advantage and raises the button: Matt Russell ships his 9K over the line and tells Fidel he has looked at only one card, and it wasn't an Ace!

Fidel obliges with a call, for Matt to flip over , Fidel says "you're ahead" and shows Q 10.

Queen on the flop, middle pin for Matt but he doesn't get there.

Currently on his phone drumming up a posse for a night out.

Here's one for Jon Gill...

Simon Trumper wakes up to defend his BB after a raise from the cut off. SB calls, as does Simon with K 7.

Manna from heaven on the flop, as it comes 7 3 7.

Simon bets out, 2.5K, cut off makes it 5K, Simon flats.

Turn is a king! Simon bets 6k this time, cut off makes it 15K, Simon then raises all in and gets a call!

Simon shows his full house, and the cut off visibly pales and flips ... 10 7, obviously convinced he has flopped world and is getting paid, only to find himself taking the walk to the rail instead.

ah!

The deal was if he makes Day 2 I'll play him before Day 2 begins, otherwise I'll play it later on in the day

I suspect I'll be playing him early Sunday then

Mo Ishtakar and Kourosh in a hand. I only got there on the river of a board reading As

Mo has checked to Kourosh on his right, who has then bet 37K.

Mo raised all in for 99K total.

Kourosh thinks for ages and ages, so much so that another player calls the clock.

Kourosh acknowledges the clock and sits for another 40 seconds before folding a set of fives.

Mo says "Good fold" and shows 10s for the stone cold nuts.

Another player not in the hand then asks Kourosh why he didn't bet his set on the flop. Armchair poker players, always commentating, never winning.

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

Paul Jackson just lost a 190K pot holding pocket Queens on a ten high flop.

Matt Miners on his left likes his sevens too much to lose them and then gets it all in on the turn, with a gutshot, board reads 5 6 10 4.

Fortune favours the brave.. river is an 8 to give him his straight and the pot.

Paul still on average stack but currently steaming.
