Seen as Trigg bumped this, I'll update and tell you that the £50r tonight got £5500 from 33 runners, definitely not bad for it's first week and a few names missing too, very respectable. It will get even a bigger PP after a few weeks too for sure & lands decently enough for GPS in a couple of weeks.
I went up last Sunday and it only got 22. Looks like Genting can't do what Naps and G failed at after all. Lets just admit it, Sheffield players are all talk and won't front up for a bigger comp game. I can only see it getting worse as we get nearer Christmas and people are saving their money.
I was talking to Andy and G's new schedule will revert to being more competitive with added etc more like when they opened and went after naps. Due for launch in Jan.

if everyone has this attitude it will never make 50 runners! i really think they could get away with that guarantee at 40 runners tbh.
How many people in for the £400 next week do we think this will get mega runners? im hoping for 400 ish would be nice

I'd say it will comfortably get 400, there were about 300 for the money added launch event, most of whom travelled a fair distance. I'll be donating on the Thursday.

What's the best curry house in Sheffield?
Viraaj, which is in woodseats about 3 miles from town.
However Aagrah, which is 1 minute walk from the casino, is also superb.

1 minute walk for me is about 5, but sounds ideal and nice to have options

Shapla gets my vote but the walk down is a little more 'Gauntlet' than through town!

Was you expecting miracles on the second week of the tournament running?
PS - I would not listen to Andy, he tells you everything you want to hear, but never produces, he is just card room staff, not manager.

It is gtd at £10 with 80 runners, which it has got for the last couple of months. It has now removed the gte to 8k, after having to put more money in than usual. People say all sorts about Naps, but they have always been generous with offers and added value.

It will get nowhere near the money with 40 runners.
