I wasn't expecting miracles, but going from mid thirties to mid twenties in only its first two weeks isn't great.

I think their card room manager has been a little mis-led in the power of some 'locals' dictating what they think they can achieve.

Andy said that G are looking at a £100 freeze with lower guaranteed players and a bonus add in to the pot from the Casino. Seems to make sense as all 3 places struggle to hit anything over 30 when the buy in is over £50.

If they're struggling to get players for anything over a £50 why then look to set up a £100 comp?

I might be missing something, I only slept for an hour or so last night and puppy sitting is taking it's toll........

Possibly worth starting off with small guarantees, smaller buyins and looking to develop from there. Once you have built up the customer base, try and gauge what will help to develop things as time goes by.

I imagine it's an unenviable position nowadays though trying to run a card room, especially when it's so easy for people to sit at home clicking buttons in their pants and having a bunch of shots to win the same money Cheesy

You don't really know much about the Sheffield poker scene do you?

"The Sunday Roast" at G Casino gets well over 30, the £50 buyin at Napoleons gets over 30, again comfortably, both was the only £50+ buyins until a couple of weeks ago.

PS - Again, because you don't seem to know about the Sheffield poker scene, the £50r never really got many runners anyway. It didn't often get over 40.

According to the Facebook page for Genting Casino, they already have 242 runners, so gte is already there.

There is always a massive walk up and according to those numbers, will probably approaching 450 runners. I am just not sure where they are doing to put players.

They are using the floor area upstairs for the side events

Downstairs, the card room extends into the restraint and they also use the floor behind the bar

There is plenty of room in Genting Club Sheffield and the side events are taking place in the Nighclub area so you will even have your own dediacted bar.

I am in for tomorrow at this point, hoping there is enough space for me.

I have heard that Friday is going to be absolutely rammed, so glad I have decided to play tomorrow.
