"Hopefully Cassetti or whoever it was plays in the next game, will be fun"

Cassetti is a bad match up for Buckley as he has no pace.  They'll put Doyley on him, or Neuton I'd imagine.

Lol.

Nice one mate.

Gotta say "Zaha can't create chances is a ridic comment".

On Saturday i remember saying that I can see why Glen Murray scores so many with Zaha on one side and the other skillful black lad on the other side

Why does he have three assists?

Variance.

Plus its not just the one assist that "creates" a chance. Numerous times on Sat he raced through with the ball for about 30 yards then played it to someone in a nice position who then laid it off to someone else for a shot.

Both people saying Buckley is better are both Brighton supporters. Nice to see I may not be the only over zealous supporter on here!

What makes it worse Ant is that one of those used to support Palace but moved to the dark side!!

 Would love to see how much the last 2 players Brighton produced through their academy and then sold on have done!

What? I have supported Brighton and gone since the age of 4.

Where have I bigged up our youth policy? You are the ones who say its basically the best in the country when you have only produced two players (one whose a bench warmer for top 6 side) and another whose a championship player.

Gareth Barry from our youth academy, and done more than any Palace youth product ever will.

I was talking about Flushy, he supported Palace until Brighton got a new ground and decided that he wanted to go there!

I didnt say you had bigged up your youth policy.  You were slating 2 players to come out of ours and i just wondered who you had produced lately.

You are also forgetting that as well as Bostock and Moses we have produced at least 5 others in the last few years that have gone on to play Prem football.

Barry went to Villa when he was 16 so i give them a lot of credit for his career  Wink

True, sadly they don't produce stats at champ level for 'chances created'.

"Can't create chances" was sarcastic comment but he his final ball is not as good as his dribbling/skill/control levels.

Buckley tore your full backs apart too, but we don't have a championship striker in our starting 11 at the moment to finish them off.

Must be a load of other Palace fans doing that. Would explain why you can only get 16k at home using Groupon, losing all your fans to a more prosperous club Wink

What are your predictions for Saturday?

Not going to bite at that comment except to say that if we had a brand new stadium we would fill it for the first 3 or 4 years.

I just hope Saturday that we play like we have been in previous home games as Bolassie and Zaha have been awesome and if we do then i have no doubts we will win.  However it is a local derby and will no doubt be tight and tense and probably not a lot different to last season's 1-1 draw.

Sorry I don't pick the team.  I watched Buckley for a year and a half.  He is sporadically exciting, but to compare him to Zaha makes you look foolish imho.

Fair enough. Doubt Bolassie and Zaha have come up against a better combination of full backs as Bruno / Bridge ever before though.

Shame we don't play you when Dikgacoi is @ the african nations, as Vicente will be back then Smiley

I'd say the same thing if I let him go for a million quid Wink

Saw Buckley at Leicester this season. Hugely impressive. Don't care about him versus Zaha, both very good indeed

Would like to throw Knockaert into the mix please. French U21 regular, all the tricks, just settling into English football. Headed for the top. Probably not with us

Not 100% sure Poyet is the man to take them up...

I love this video of him post Leeds game, anger much?

You do realise Poyet was quoted as saying Zaha wasn't as good as Buckley, last month I think, which is why I think Brighton fans have rallied behind the viewpoint. If most Brighton fans watched Zaha week in week out, they would laugh at the suggestion imo, but I can't be sure as I haven't seen Buckley properly so to judge would be unfair.

ChampionshipStats

2 wins in 15 for Sheff Wed;

7 defeats in 10 for Barnsley;

4 losses in 5 for Birmingham;

3pts out of 24 for Wolves

Which of these teams turns round for the better first?

Wolves?

(contrarian value betting klaxon)

I'd say Wolves.  Definitely not Birmingham.  I've seen them a few times and they look genuinely useless under Clark.
