If you was a regular on the forum you would probably understand.

The Brighton fans seem to be wound up by our lot & everytime we lose or in atual fact are actually playing, then they come into our match threads and talk rubbish. I am not that fussed, but Ste is, I can not let it bother me too much, so I post utter nonsense on there.

In other words, you are admitting being a troll.

No.

The forum has got a bit ridic, so I don't post serious stuff.

Our match threads on there are pages long, when everyone elses are 1/2 page MAX. Actually full of Brighton fans, if you read the whole topic, it generally is stupid comment after stupid comment from all of us.

I actually didn't post much on that site months ago, then had a browse then started.

But it's just constant trolling by everyone in our match topics, it's ridic.

Seen a few bets for the week...

Palace 7/5 at Huddersfield...

City/Watford over 2.5, was 4/5 and now best priced at 8/11 Sad

Regarding Bolassie - was he as promising at Bristol City, or is this one of those occasions where a new club does wonders for a player?

He won the Young Player of the Year award last season, voted for by the fans so obviously did pretty well, maybe didnt have the players around him or was playing in the wrong system to really suit his game.

He did state that he wanted to move back to London so maybe he is playing even better as he is happier in his personal life.

Has had the most assists of any palace player this season, is deceptively strong and almost as exciting as Zaha when he gets the ball.
His shooting lets him down big time as does his decision making sometimes, but love watching him play and certainly think he will play in the premier league in the next 2 or 3 years (hopefully with Palace!!)

Well put.

Huddersfield is a huge game. If Zaha is up for it and is the man he was before the England call up, I think we will be one tough team to beat. Great news too that Joel Ward and Darcy Blake are soon back, as well as bringing in Jazz Richards (Swansea, on loan), and a Chelsea youth team drop out in Alistair Gordon.

We apparently may be forking out nearly £2m for Adomah of Bristol City who is featuring for Ghana at the moment, on the wing. Heard rave reviews about him, but he would come as a rotation player for the next 6 months if he does come in with Bolassie and Zaha. So that may halt the deal slightly. May be a deal to consider in the summer instead.

Hearing about Sylvain Ebanks Blake and I am worried slightly. Don't think he is known for his pace, and must be relatively similar to Murray in style but don't quite understand why we would want two strikers so similar. If we bought a nippy smaller forward that was a decent finisher I would understand it a bit better. We have Wilbrahim on the bench who I think hasn't been given to much of a fair chance and he is similar in style to Murray and has been effective on occasion for us.

I hope Jacob Butterfield is as good as the manager makes out, in replacing Garvan because he has stated how much we miss the latter and it is a shame for the lad to get a 2 month injury when his contract expires in the summer, and with him playing superbly.

Just seen the Watford highlights at the Notts Forest game. You look spectacular and I am severely worried. I am going to ask you what you think your weaknesses may be, DungBeetle? Is it you get bogged down by more aggressive teams in the midfield that break up your neat passing game. Would you say your style is to keep possession for a while knocking it about, taking your time and always keeping it on the deck? Does this mean you get done occasionally with the stray pass across the back?

I want Dikagcoi and South Africa out of the CAF quarter finals, so he can partner his fellow beast, Jedinak, as soon as possible. We have a great thing going with those two as enforcers sitting in front of the back 4 and then feeding the front four, by primarily feeding the tricky wingers. When there have been no injuries or heads turned in our team we have been virtually unstoppable. Our run under late Freedman and early Holloway proves this. That should come back now after the window and everything is settled.

At the moment though we have only 6 points from our last 6 league games. However, I am hopeful of automatic promotion. All hinges on our 3 games really, to see what we are about.

Would avoid the Huddersfield/Palace bet btw, really need to see what we are about with Zaha settled and the new signings.

"You look spectacular and I am severely worried. I am going to ask you what you think your weaknesses may be, DungBeetle? "

Despite all the rave reviews of Vydra, it is Almen Abdi that runs the team.  He is a very clever player who goes under the radar and dictates the pace of the game.  I think we'd struggle for leadership if he got injured/suspended, especially at home where we need to break stubborn teams down.  He was missing when we lost at home to Hull, and we looked pretty clueless in that game.

I'm never really worried about away games, as it's all based on counter-attacking pace which we have in abundance, but I think there is still a question mark at home if we don't get off to a fast start and teams park the bus.  I think Saturday's game against a big physical Bolton will be a good indication of how far we have come in that regard.

I must say I have switched to "very confident" in terms of this season now.   The key is the players in reserve we have to cover any injuries.  Forestieri/Geijo up front, Eustace/Hogg in midfield, Anya/Helan at full back, Hoban/Nosworthy at the back.  As I say, Abdi and Vydra are probably the only players who could not seamlessly be rotated.

Conventional 442?

Also who is your right winger with the large numer on his back, looked very tasty against Forest, forget the name.

We play 5-3-2 which with the wingbacks pretty much becomes 3-5-2 when we are on the attack.  We started 4-4-2 while we were getting the foreign players up to fitness but the change in formation (at Huddersfield I think) led to a rapid upturn in performance.

The right back is Casetti who played for many years as right back for Roma I think.  He is top class - his only weakness is lack of pace as he is quite old now, but having the extra centre back allows us this luxury and he gives us much going forward.

Outrageous formation for a full back, that. I don't know how anyone can be fit enough really to run non stop for 90 mins!

For our match on a Friday night soon, I am going to be perched in front of the telly with my eyes glued to two teams that look to play prettier football. Should be a great game, and hopefully from a Palace perspective still a relevant one in terms of where we are in comparison to you!

Ha - it's not as bad as it sounds for the full backs as at home we have the ball so much with our posession game they don't need to get back, but they have to put in a shift away (and often are the ones substituted due to the yards they put in)

I am looking forward to our Friday night game - although can't get there in time from work.  I am going to try and make Bolton on Saturday.  I will be interested to see what Holloway trys - I think he's best off sitting back and trying to counter with  Zaha and Bolassie.  I think if he comes at us it may be a mistake as we have been much more effective when we have space in which to play on the counter.

Will also get to see who comes out on top of the Jedinak/Chalobah battle.... I just wouldn't mind Jedinak showing him up and proving beyond doubt he's the best defensive midfielder in the league. One time! Smiley

Jeez.

Second bid of £2.4M bid rejected for a HUGE CENTRE BACK. Dutch U21. PSV, Ajax, Sunderland, Everton in for him too but fancies brighton over all of them according to his agent.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6pRKv9C3SI

If we get him in, and with our new s3xy striker hitting it off already V arsenal, play-offs are very realistic.

Especially now that the best player to ever have played in the championship is fully fit again after being out since first game of the season.

Oh and Watford will smash Palarse.
