was at my old mans last night who rarely if ever watches the darts
told him lets watch hankeys game as he is normally "entertaining"
after my old man getting pissed of with skys 30 minute build up about how hankey was one of the great entertainers in sport (ffs) even he was expecting something decent
after that debacle he turned to me and said
"son if that's entertainment you can keep it"
I don't know if that's a joke or not as Hankey said the same about the PDC at this event 2 years ago.

Reminded me of Jimmy White v Peter Fransisco in the world champs a few years ago when Jimmy knew Fransisco wanted to lose 10-1 and tried his hardest to lose another frame to screw their coup.
MVG looked like a non trier in the first leg, wonder if Hankey had bet 5-0?
Fair point as if you watch MvG's facial expressions during and just after the first Leg it's as if he's calling him out. Having said that their is no doubt he's had a gutful. Having a gutful gives him a convenient excuse. In the first leg he wasn't too bad until he got to 56. Then had 6 darts and didn't get a dart at a double, then he starts the eye rubbing. That's exactly why I thought it was a bent coup. He wasn't too bad until he looked like he could win the leg. Back opponent to win 5-0 + get pissed out of your brain = profit (with a convenient excuse as to why you performed so badly)

Couple of small fancies tonight..
I know Dean Winstanley is playing out of his skin, but Monk at 11/4 appeals as value.
And for the life of me I can't have Scott Waites as favourite over Robert Thornton. 5/4 about the Thorn is a definite bet to my eyes.

I've backed Thornton at 11/8 which was way to big.

Thornton's not played that well this Tournament and im pretty sure Waites has the best tournament average. He's also got a very good record here.

I like Hamilton at 11/8, infact I like it a lot. Dolan at odds against is wrong as well.

The 4 Favs tonight is 4/1 with Hills on their speacial Bet Bundle, take every industry best price on these matches and it still doesn't give you . If the first 3 come in I will bet Thornton as it's near enough a toss of the coin that match. I like Over 6.5 180's in the Winstanley match 8/11 (as well as the bet I put on Tikays fred), under 8.5 in Taylor match 8/13 and King most 180's v Painter @10/11 I agree with that Bazza,Dolan always seems to be underated by the bookie's, I took him at evens to qualify out the Group which considering it was 2 from any 3 (as Bates is so out of form) was a silly price. His match up v Part looks like one he will grind out and I agree that it's a great price. Hamilton is pretty much the same to the Dolan thoughts except the price is even better.

That was special, very very special. Taylor very close to his best and MVG smashed him. I have a pretty massive position on MVG for the Worlds...I'm starting to dream!!

Great call and a bit of nudging your pick a couple of months back hopefully got a few more on from here. That's probably the best standard of Darts match their has been.

Will be a big test for MVG as Waites obviously fancies it. Hopefully he doesn't "bounce".
